After years of dragging odd containers and bags full of different hardware, I figured there had to be a better way to store all the hardware that one needs when designing or even daily use and I wanted to share it with others.
In my last Kickstarter I realized that buying 4 or 10 of something was time consuming, expensive, and the individual shipping was sometimes more than the item I needed. After purchasing 1000 of the 4mm nylon locking nuts, it dawned on me, if one could buy the most standard hardware for different sizes and quickly distribute them to a couple hundred others who wish they had the same, it would be a lot cheaper than I spent for the few items I ended up with. Plus you get a great organizer to use for the items provided or anything you can fit into a quart size bag or smaller.
A laser cut clipboard, designed to fit in a 3-ring binder, with 18 bags of different M3 or 3mm hardware; nylon locking nuts, hex nuts, 6mm long bolt, 8mm long bolt, 10mm long bolt,...........up to 50mm long bolt, plus others at a quantity of 4 items per bag!
Reusable and easy access bags to store almost anything, plus very portable!
The greatest part of trying to do this on Kickstarter is your feedback throughout the project, as I want to do this for other hardware and also add additional empty clipboards for items you may want to store. Back the project early and tell me what you wish you had and we will try to meet your expectations!
From the pictures you could see where you could store 3 little bags in each, thus giving you 18 x 3 = 54 storage spaces, all within a sealable small 3-ring binder! If you could purchase the items locally, 18 small bags of hardware from any hardware store would probably cost you more than this setup? Plus you get the modified clipboard to use for anything that will fit in quart size bags or smaller!
I need your help and comments in determining if we continue with other sizes or different configurations of hardware?!
The funding goal is set to be able to order the one thousand pieces of hardware of the 18 different items and then bag them up, laser cut the clipboards, and get them shipped out as soon as possible! As I did with my other project, the earlier this is funded, the sooner I can justify ordering the required items, as I don't want to wait if we have enough early backers!
