Yep, I didn't like Witcher 1 or 2, but I bought Witcher 3 at launch to show my support. Not many companies I'd do that for. ... even on Earth Mode. |
Agree and another great company IMO is Japan Studio, their releases are finished products and the DLC adds to the experience (in the few cases they release any) I'm willing to buy their games day one without questioning the quality because most of the times it's very good... I've been playing Witcher 3 for about 100 hours since the last sale and I'm liking it very much. Even got a fully localization for my language, which is very impressive considering the amount of voiced dialogue in this game. Don't know if it's the best gaming company in the market, as I'm not too much informed on the subject. Every moment gives us a chance to become more than what we are. - Ryu |
It's at the point now that if they release a game that is even halfway decent I will buy it even if I don't care for it. Case in point, I have no intention to play Witcher 3 and probably never will. I bought it anyway. Farthest I ever got in Witcher 1 was into the first city. Never went further than that. I bought Witcher 2. Never even installed or played it. Bought Witcher 3 just to support them. -No DRM for their games. -Focuses on strong storytelling and atmosphere. -Great characters, great story, nice graphics. -Every interview with the developers has just been about games for the gamers. I believe they even took a stand on no DRM saying something along the lines of, "if our games are good enough, players will buy them, if not, then we don't deserve the money." Yes, they are top right now. In the chronicles of my life there is a legend in which I change 'history' into 'herstory'. |
