There are a lot of creeps on Reddit and some of them read this sub and PM the people who post and send dick pics and creepy messages. If you want to avoid getting these messages you can turn off receiving PMs before you post here. You can do that here:

Catfish

There's also people who post here or who may contact you via PM who send photos they claim to be of themselves but they're not. And they may try to gain your confidence then try to blackmail you. Be very cautious of anyone sending you a PM. You should also avoid clicking any links sent to you via PM for security reasons. Be careful.

It would be better if you didn't allow creeps to become moderators here.

I stick up for this sub and I try to help out by reporting problematic posts, but moderators like pleurocarp seem to just be here to try to get in fights with people who post here and I don't think that's the kind of community you want to build here.

Moderators of this subreddit published my full name and offered to give away my personal pictures to other users.

They then attacked me for over an hours while they pretended not to be able to see the attacks even though I linked them directly.

This is a disgusting subreddit and I can't recommend it to anyone.

I was the only one that had trouble finding the attacks (I was on mobile), and I apologize for that, but a "I don't see any doxxing comments, could you link them?" is hardly cause for complaint. It takes about two seconds to copy-paste a permalink into a modmail.

This is a disgusting subreddit and I can't recommend it to anyone.

And you've lied and behaved in a morally disgusting manner, sorry, can't recommend you either.

I have never denied that the user above me was doxxed. I'm not sure where you got that idea. The user above is lying about who doxxed her--a normal user posted her personal information. We removed the offending comment.

For reasons beyond me, she has chosen instead to claim that the mods have doxxed her. Nowhere has a mod posted her name, in full, or otherwise.

Same deal with the "offer to give pictures". A mod didn't do that, a user did.

If someone tells a lie about me or someone else, or is abusing someone else, I'm going to point that out...if that "embarrasses me" I don't care. It's worth it to put a stop to abuse and mistreatment. It's kind of weird how you're trying to convince people to not point out abuse and mistreatment.

And how you're more interested in making sure an abuser's feelings aren't hurt by their abuse being pointed out, then the effect that abuse has on their victims. And you're supposed to care about victims...:)

Good thing that hasn't happened here then, right? At least, not to her. Criticizing someone's completely harmful, toxic, and malicious behaviors that are unrelated to their victimization isn't "attacking" someone.

You don't have to tolerate or be quiet about being abused, manipulated, or hurt, by someone just because they've been a victim. Being a survivor is not a blank check to engage in harmful behavior and hurt other people. If you support and enable that belief--well, you're not doing survivors any favors.

I linked to the thread sorted by "new" and asked moderators to remove the top 3 posts, all of which published my name and offered to give away pictures of me. I had to send over 30 messages over 2 hours and moderators kept pretending not to be able to see them and kept telling me that it was my fault I was doxxed because I posted my picture on your subreddit or alternately, they would say that the doxxing "didn't look like a problem." They refused to delete the posts.

When the moderator UR-NotAsGoodAsCoffee entered the conversation, however, he had no trouble at all finding the doxxing attack that other moderators sometimes missed as they were typing out lengthy posts attacking me.

FYI, unless a thread is locked, the last 3 posts can always change. The thread wasn't that big so it's fine but they weren't direct links.

From what I can tell, that was said after all the offending comments were removed and the mod in question meant that the sanitized thread was no longer a problem.

They refused to delete the posts.

From what I can tell, the modteam was asking for more direct links, not refusing to delete stuff or implying that the doxxing didn't exist. Sure, they could've probably checked /new on your thread but that is a valid but different complaint.

And BTW none of this is an attack of any kind or a dismissal of your overall concerns, I just want your concerns to reflect reality.

And the total number of comments in the conversations with the original moderator was 14. Hence 30. But why are you spending time on that when people are getting doxxed on your subreddit with the help of moderators?

And yet they did not change. The moderators simply pretended not to see them for 2 hours despite the link, clear directions and names of the people who posted doxxing information

They said "I don't see any problem here" and sent antagonistic messages instead of deleting the doxxing attacks. Mods doxxed me and other mods made a conscious and repeated decision not to act.

If you had any actual concerns about doxxing you'd probably attack the doxxers instead of the person who was doxxed by your moderator.

Yeah, they did something very similar to me, but mine involved some pretty graphic rape threats.

Moderators on this sub are a joke and will always seem to side with people who doxx or talk about raping girls who post here.

        16 hours later, no moderator has stepped in to address one of AmISexy's moderators going on a rampage and attacking members of this community below and there are still posts offering personal phone numbers and pictures of people who posted here.

        This needs to stop.

        23 hours later and there are like three modmail threads on this and I'm pretty sure all such new comments have been removed (if you see any in this subreddit, rather than overviews that we can't do anything about, please post links). We can't get to them instantly but we get them when we can.
