I'm a bot, bleep, bloop. Someone has linked to this thread from another place on reddit:

Interesting way of getting around the "no advertising other subreddits here" rule.

Nice work as always, Totes.

Totes is the only reason I struggled with joining /r/BotHate.

Filthy hate-mongering beast! Get out!

I'm impressed that Blizzard managed to release a game that's not even a year old but already have a thriving subculture around it.

Now all I need is to farm enough WoW gold to trade for the game.

I think all the porn probably helps.

Is /r/passiveagressiveLPT just like regular /r/lifeprotips, except that the OP sends a link of their post to whoever did the specific thing they're writing about?

It's actually a joke that came from the front page yesterday, it's supposed to be misspelled /r/passiveagressiveLPT (only one 'g').

it's supposed to be misspelled /r/passiveagressiveLPT (only one 'g').

Oooh that's horrible. Either they change it NOW or the typo will stay forever!

I am the creator.

The typo will stay forever

It all started here

What's the difference between /r/instantregret and /r/instant_regret?

Hi, mod of both subreddits here. The difference is that /r/instant_regret is much more selective and picky about posts. We demand the posts to the_underscore show obvious and immediate regret.

At r/instantregret, we're way more laid back. So long as there is some implied regret and it happens in short order, it's good to go. We basically use the smaller sub to let the votes decide, and it's defined the two communities.

We only really remove spam and severely off-topic crap from /r/instantregret, whereas we're fascist nazis when it comes to /r/instant_regret.

Every subreddit should have an underscored and not-underscored version, IMO. That's a really cool set of rules.

kinda like /r/me_irl and /r/meirl

Those are kind of reversed though.

Well /r/me_irl got taken over by power hungry mods who started banning posts they didn't like. Which, coincidentally, turned out to be the better posts on the sub.

What you're left with is Facebook-tier posts on /r/me_irl.

What in actuality happened was the mods of /r/me_irl started banning overtly racist, sexist, or otherwise bigoted posts because those are shitty posts that only shitty people want to see, so the shitty people of reddit started up their own shitty subreddit to allow shitty posts such as those.

??????

The mods of meirl are some of the least shitty people I know. The mods of me_irl are cancermods who bring personal ideologies into how they mod and don't apply the rules equally.

Hell if I wouldn't get booted from the defaultmods slack I'd leak screenshots of them(meirl) talking about how their favorite thing to do is ban racist asshats. me_irl is a shit sub ran by shit people and browsed by people who don't know a better alternative exists.

Maybe, but I don't like that sub because of how they kicked out Ghostise after he got them 100k subscribers.

In my experience, the mods of me_irl keep the sub clean of all bigotry, even subtle bigotry, even bigotry that is meant as a "joke" or "ironic". I like that. If you consider that "bringing personal ideologies into how they mod", whatever, I still like it.

I just realized I messed up some wording in my comment. This line

Hell if I wouldn't get booted from the defaultmods slack I'd leak screenshots of them talking about how their favorite thing to do is ban racist asshats.

Is about the meirl mods.

I'm not here to change your mind on anything, but you really do have it wrong if you think the meirl mods support any of that garbage.

Me_irl mods will also ban you for having posted in other subs that they consider offensive, unless they're not doing that anymore.

What they don't moderate though, is the almost offensively low effort content, upvote if posts or you have been visited by, or they'll upvote anything posts are just so pathetically overdone that they make the sub damn near unusable.

Meirl on the other hand moderates offensive content very well and keeps the sub to a much higher standard of quality.

Sounds like something a mod of /r/me_irl would say

Did you actually make an alt account just to say this? That's definitely a good sign you have no association or connect with /r/me_irl

Check the age of my account.

Seems like another subreddit on this list has both an underscored and not-underscored version: /r/OverwatchMemes and /r/Overwatch_Memes

Why?

Science isn't about why, it's about why not.

Glad to see /r/ForHonorEmblems here. Lots of creativity in our subreddit, I invite all to come and have a look around and enjoy the Emblems!

Damn. Yesterday I haven't even clicked passive-agressive in the thread because I thought like most subs made when someone mentions it should be made it'd be empty and nobody would ever post. And not a full day later it's trending.

Here's hoping /r/popular is going to reduce political trending for a while.
