日本に住んでいると解らないかもしれませんが、日本のメジャー、大手インディーのMVは海外（特にアメリカ）からは、一切見れません。
コピーライトの問題があり、アメリカ（というかグーグルの条件）と、日本の法体制の間であまりにも相違があるため、簡単に解決できる問題ではないのですが、
ある意味、日本のエンタメは長年鎖国状態なのです。僕も知りませんでした。
僕は、グーグルが全てのルールを決める方法が正しいとは全く思いません。
しかし、日本のエンターテイメント全体がインターネット上に発信するメディアをいっさい持ってい以上、日本の表現者たちの意識はドメスティックにならざるを得ません。
最初から、漫画以外の日本のエンタメは外国で人気がないんだと思っている人も多いと思います。
しかし、ご存知のように韓国のエンタメは世界を席巻しています。それを日本のものだと勘違いしてる人もいるそうですが…
コアな日本の音楽ファンはiTunes Japan、からも買えない、Amazon MP3でも買えない、Youtubeも見れない。
どうしているかというと、高額な輸入オンラインサイト（CD Japanなど）で買うか、会員制のSNSサイトでこっそりシェアするしかないのです。

今やっと変化が起こっていて、ピコ太郎が日本人初の再生回数で注目をあびているので（事務所はAVEX）今後どんどん変わっていくと思いますが、
現状、正式な流通を通した場合、正攻法では海外で視聴可能にする方法はないのです。
なので、この手続きに時間がかかり、発売から1ヶ月の時間を要してしまいました。

勘違いして欲しくないのは、僕は日本のレコード会社を愛しており、特にビクターは日本の音楽史を作ってきた偉大なレコード会社であり、僕の大好きなアーティストたちが多数音源をリリースしていて、かっこいい日本の音楽を生み続けている大好きなメーカーです。
ビクターからリリースできたことを誇りに思っています。

しかし、日本メジャーのMVが日本国内でしか見ることができないことは、自分のアルバムの発売直前まで知りませんでした。
せっかく作ったPVなので、地球上の全ての人が目が届く場所に置きたいと思いました。

A month after the album release day, I started the official YouTube page of Gentouki to make the MVs available to see from other countries besides just Japan.
I uploaded full MVs of “Tanjoubi -Birth Day-” and “50 Thousand Year Survivor” that have previously been unpublished.
The "Album Sampler Movie" is also available wherever you live as well.
Something that everybody may not know is that MVs from Japanese major labels aren't available to watch from overseas.
You can’t watch them if your country isn’t Japan.

Most Japanese people don’t know this fact. I also didn’t know it.
I don’t think that it's better for Google to decide the world’s rules.
But the Japanese entertainment industry barely has any internet media compared to overseas.
That’s why Japanese artists have to be just domestic even in this era.

Some people think that Japanese entertainment simply isn’t popular.
But you know, Korean entertainment is very popular all over the world. Some people seem to misunderstand and think that those artists are Japanese.

What are overseas fans doing to hear Japanese music?
They can't buy digital music from iTunes Japan, Amazon Japan MP3, watch MVs on Youtube, etc., so their only choice is to purchase from expensive online stores or turn to piracy.

I think it will change little by little, because Piko-Taro recently became the first Japanese artist to become internationally famous from Youtube.
But by adopting standard tactics of Japanese major labels, it is not possible to upload MVs on YouTube that are viewable to countries besides Japan.
That’s why it took a little long for my MVs to be available to see from overseas.

I love Japanese major labels, especially Victor. I’m proud of my release from Victor.
Victor is a great Japanese company and they have made Japanese music history.
But I didn’t know the fact that Japanese MVs from major labels are not available for everyone.
I wanted to put my MVs on a place available for every country.
