Rights versus Previledges

It has dawned upon my ignorant mind that some rights come at a price and are nothing more than previledges afforded to the few who did not take bait.

If the municipality was labouring under the impression that the right to free basic electricity which the right to water is so dependent on would not be compromised by eskom by ceasing to supply electricity due to non - payment of services, then the community is looking at a dark future.

It is therefore fair to say that there are no rights without responsibilities. Such should be amended in our constitution Because at the end of the day we would be having more right and no jobs or money to afford those necessities termed rights. A right to education comes at a price, universities are not cheap. #feesmustfall remember...

It is however our responsibility to pay for  those basic fees like lights on the streets... They are there for our own safety not a right - previledge. No court will find the government guilty of going back on their word because they were not detailed enough about what those rights mean to an average South African.

No wonder so many municipalities are drowning in debt. It is because those previledges were called rights not responsibilities at the beginning which sent a wrong message to the public. Everybody now feels some sort of entitlement to things we should be paying for.
Let us all take responsibility for our future and the future of our generations to come.

Lumia 535 toets

Wow... So, the Lumia 535 can do it too i.e editing my blog, securing connections while at it, hmmmm. WordPress has got apps that can deliver across many platforms but blogger seems to have one for android operating systems and iPhone only. I suppose phones with windows 8 or 10 operating systems do not really need that.

I just hate the freezing part, got to get me a processor and memory that can deliver. I think I need to define the type of customer that I am to marketers or developers so they can craft something that can fit my needs. I think I am one in a million or one of the millions who still want a product that is affordable and that fit their needs without loosing tons of money for a product that will cost more than an average html/user need. I was using blackberry mainly for the BIS unlimited data benefits but struggled to edit or post on my blog.

I think before I go for a high end phone I got to try those in my credit limit to see if they can get the job done.

What has been your experience so far... I think that for someone in my league we might be struggling with similar limitations or intellectual abilities.

My friend, we are in this together even if we act like we know but not there yet.. 😉 😎 👲

HP Probook Reviewed

Hp for business laptop, the Pro Book version is packed with most of the aspects that are only seen on movies that showcase technology at its best.

The face recognition, the finger print log-on functionality, the hard drive encryption software that comes pre-installed. With all these security measures, you can be assured that your safety has been carefully considered in the manufacturing of these laptops.

What is the point of all this safety fuss; well with the advanced features that comes with a pro-book, you can activate the software that helps you find your laptop when stolen, you can block all USB ports to prevent unauthorized data copy from your laptop, even the CD drive in case someone lost the battle trying to crack your password or logon information and resort to re-booting your hard drive.

I had to be patient while I try and find my way around the robust features and advised a newbie of the benefits. Once you know your way around it, it is a breeze. It was interesting though considering how difficult it is going to be for someone to try and get or steal confidential information from it.

This piece is for someone who want to keep private things private. Of course extra care should always be taken like backing up data externally on a separate drive or Compact Disc. There is also a cloud based option, it is essentially an emergency measure in case disaster strikes and resources are in place to relieve the situation.

The safety features are there to protect you and your business not to annoy you, but no matter how annoying it is you will be grateful later.

Which brands  offer similar or better functionalities?...

Regulatory Bodies Associated with your Trade or Profession

Regulatory bodies for quality standards associated with company activities ranging from the services they provide vary. It is just as much a legal requirement as registering for SARS (South African Revenue Service) and CIPC (Companies and Intellectual Property Commission)

It is important for companies to align themselves with the laws that govern service providers in terms of the quality standards that they are supposed to abide by.
  • Internet Cafes have to register with Film and Publications Board (FPB) and align themselves with the laws that are passed or find themselves in contravention of South African Laws. It regulates and protects child pornography and any activity that might harm the children and includes advising viewers of anything graphic as well as age restrictions on videos.
  • Construction: Companies that go into construction need to register with CIDB (Construction Industry Development Board) and familiarize themselves on How CIDB Gradings Work as well as NHBRC (National Home Builders Registration Council)
  • Social Work (NPO etc): Public benefit companies and others have to ensure that their professionals know and understand what is expected of them in terms of the provisions of (SACSSP) - South African Council for Social Service Professions
  • Health Services: Health Professions Council of South Africa regulates the professional conduct expected of those in the industry.
  • Education: The Institution has to register and be accredited. The training provider can register with the SETA (Sector Education Training Authority), Department of Education and SAQA (South African Qualifications Authority)
  • Manufacturing?: With the ISO (International Standardization Organization) standards you set for the company means you have the systems in place to ensure that you meet the quality specifications required.
  • ICASA regulates communications, broadcasting and postal services sector in South Africa  and most publishers have to abide including community radio stations and related media.
  • Small or start-up newspapers also have to take into account the Press Council's services and provisions.
  • These apply to all PBO's (Public Benefit Organizations), NGO's (Non-Governmental Organizations), NPO (Non Profit Organizations) and any other Organization in the controlled and regulated profession or industry.
Add yours to the list as per country etc. or link to us.
