Trying to salvage "Vordrak" and matthewhopkinsnews is at least going to doom him. When looking through his activity I often found people (1) complaining about his tabloid writing (2) bringing up that he was involved in GamerGate (3) complaining about his spamming (4) complaining that Vordrak had poisoned discussion of a topic by being a spaz.

That's why I think his efforts to terrorize Null are pointless. The places where he already interacts largely know he's insane, so unless he gives up his online identity, and all of the telltale behavior that reveals him, then getting his name removed from Google only impacts the imaginary people that cold search for Samuel Collingwood Smith. With his current activities he's probably already seeding his inevitable status as persona non gratas in the "AltRight."

 

He's an idiot banking on whoring his exaggerated credentials as a club to bash people over the head with, and it falls apart due to a combination of it only working on the dumbest people he can find (and even half of them quickly get a clue) and the fact his internet footprint is so widely known even people new to him cotton on to the fact he's just a crazy British guy with delusions of grandeur and too much time on his hands.

Second, he's so obsessed with his personal vendettas he's pissed away every shred of credibility he has ever tried to make for himself, and the Evanescence stalking will dog him for the rest of his life.

Third, on top of picking really stupid or overambitious enemies, he makes really bad friends, at least the ones he can keep, like Oliver D. Smith, who he knows is threatening death and ruin on other people, but doesn't even do what real lawyers do and warn fools like him to not burn themselves legally by doing such silly things.

The most successful thing he ever had going for him was being a member of the British Parliament, and he fucked that up in the stupidest manner possible.

 

Gab in its current form is kinda a hugbox. It could do with the ability to post jpegs, But even in the right-wing orthodoxy of Gab based Sam can't talk like a human being. He's not bringing any real human interaction. He looks like a bot of some kind, like an alt-right version of Nora Reed's bots.

Same with the /cow/ thread, it's just sockpuppets putrefying amidst his facile gloating. He can't talk like a normal person, even considering the autists we've encounter here, he stands out as particularly non-human. Fucking Shaner is more human than this guy.

Yeah, this. I've thought about what makes a good website before and it's mostly making sure people get the content they want to see. Gab set off very poorly in a lot of ways.

1) The Gab founder immediately had some sort of controversy. I can't find it anymore because I forgot what he did and so did everyone else. He gave out private user details or banned a bunch of people or something.

2) Downvotes to hide or admonish content encourages people to 'brigade'. It works OK in reddit because communities are boxed off, but it doesn't work in the context of Gab.

3) By initially seeding only communities like /r/The_Donald, you can expect what I'll call "8chan Syndrome". 8chan's userbase is shrinking despite software problems being fixed. I think this is because 8chan started off with large amounts of very, very niche usergroups (GamerGate / Pol-Right). People outside those niches won't ever join, and people from within those niches will eventually break away to join bigger communities with broader interests.

So all in all I imagine gab will die a slow death as people generally lose interest. This is on the assumption that Twitter stops banning tons of people and generally acting like fucking dipshits. I'd rather see Gab succeed but it needs to reshape itself and it needs to do it immediately.

Pretty spot on, mate. It's a shame because the idea of an alternative social network was needed.
The reason why twitter is superior is because of the 'broader' dank stuff. Guys like @BasedLoller, @thelatempire & @weimerica who aren't truly clear-cut in a partisan sense are more interesting than the straight up mass of 'deplorables' on gab. Leftists like emmitt rensin, Michael Tracey & Freddie de Boer are good value as well.
