Milo Shitopolis is an annoying little gnat who just wants people to swat at him. The guy is ONLY looking for attention. The key to getting him off campus, imho, isn't about hate speech. It's about academic speech.
Usually, when you invite someone to campus, they have some sort of academic credential or some sort of academic lecture. Milo has NONE of these things. His routine belongs more in a night club and NOT on a Uni campus. This is the key to getting rid of him.
Don't get into arguments about free speech. That's pointless. It's about academic speech, not free speech.
Yes, the Conservative clubs on campus can invite him but if a group of students go to the powers that be and show that Milo's only there to spout silly one liners and use the protesters as a prop in his show, you will have more chance of success at getting his invitation revoked.
Universities are about learning and academic knowledge. Universities aren't night clubs.
This is not about hate speech and it's not about free speech. It's about academic potential. Milo's 'shows' have no academic value at all. It is easily shown by simply taking snippets of his prior appearances and his writings on Bratbart to the Uni admins to prove to them there is no value in his 'shows' AND if they are going to let him speak, to make sure that it's advertised in such a way to show that's it has ZERO academic value.
Going to the event itself and protesting it is feeding right into his hands. He uses the protesters as props. So don't go to his events. Try to get it off campus BEFOREHAND.
Milo can do his shows at a club where they're appropriate, but not on campus where some level of academic standards must apply. This avoids the free speech argument entirely and puts the responsibility squarely on his shoulders. Milo is not an academic. Milo is a troll.
