Lukaku goes missing against big teams in my opinion, which is pretty much the only reason I do not want him. If he improved that aspect why not though!?

Part of that might be it's easier for big teams to mark him out when he's the primary threat. Might not be the case when surrounded by better players.

tbf Everton are always underdogs vs a big team for a reason

Griezzeman has bottled a few big chances tbh

I'd have either of them or none of them to be honest. If either of them come it would change our formation no? I'd rather see rash or martial in a striker role

id like to see us set up like in a 4-4-2 like the start of the leicester game and have a target like zlatan and then martial or rashford running off him but if the system stays the way it is neither of them work great as a target

Understand your point but if a player of Griezmann's level is available and you say you don't want to sign them because you have Martial (21) and Rashford (19) then you're destined to stay average. There is no saying Rashford can become world class or lead the line yet and Martial has proved his best place is on the wing. Griezmann scored about 30 goals last season and the thing we've struggled with this season are goals.

If he's available and he fits Jose's plans buy him.

This may be a bit of an outside option, but why not Icardi?

He's a leader and great finisher, and has as many goals as Higuain in Italy in fewer games.

im just looking at this from a comparison of the current system which is a target man and from what ive seen from Icardi hes more of a poacher like Chicarito than a target man

I feel like these two are very similar to Mane and Mkhi, both very good players, do we risk it and go for the better option? or stay safe with a premier league proven player.

I agree with the top comment, Lukaku hasn't been a big game player so far in his career, obviously he can change that but griezmann is by far the better and more deadly option.

Currently I'd just go for Griezmann. He's the only attacker we need right now. The main work on the squad is needed in defence and midfield. It'd be a massive statement if we could get Griezmann next season and a front 4 of Martial Griezmann Mkhi and Ibra in front means we'd have goals from all over the front 4. Worry about replacing Ibra when he's gone imo.

The last thing United needs is another big bitch to hit balls at.... sell everyone over 6ft!

Lukaku, PL experience and can score.

He's not really very similar to Ibrahimovic?

His build-up play, passing and first-touch is pretty poor tbh but his goal-scoring ability is incredible. On his day he is a bulldozer of a player but, as mentioned in here, he seems to shrink away from the big games and he genuinely hasn't developed at all over the last few years in the areas he's poor at.

Even the other day when he was impossible to play against at Bournemouth he still had terrible touches (his second goal for example was a very heavy touch that should have been cleared, even if his finish was incredible).

All in all I'm undecided on a player that would cost an absolute fortune to buy from Everton. Think there's better options.

He's really improved all 3 in the past year tho, and that comes from a belgian dude that used to dislike Lukaku cause he was so shit at first touches. He's really great in the national team now and bangs in loads of goals at Everton..

Neither. Rashford or Martial will be ready by the time Ibra leaves.
