I agree In my early twenties I lifted for myself. I Weighed in at 350 with 14% body fat , 6’4, 22 inch biceps relaxed, a 55 inch chest with a 34 inch waist. I’m speaking from expierience in the way it nevertheless had nothing to do with who I was. Men and Women considered me stupid.
Its more of a even if you look a certain way nothing about you essentially matters to an independent type. It simply serves a Limited purpouse.

Marriage is like a deck of cards. In the beginning all you need is two hearts and a diamond... but by the end you wish you had a club and a spade.I haven’t really experienced this problem of women wanting to make dramatic changes to me. I guess the ones that tried got frustrated and disappeared on their own.
Now I will say that I married an independent woman later in life in our 40s (neither of us were married before because neither of us wanted to compromise much or give up our opposite-sex friends)
and she “stuck” because she liked me for most of who/what I am. Not all of course. Of course she tells me what she LIKES or does NOT LIKE about me without any bullshit manipulations. It is my choice to comply, or not without fear of reprisal. BUT…and this is important for you guys who have not given up on women yet…I enjoy making my woman happy when I CAN. She is not wild about beards and I don’t care either way – so I stay clean shaven. I don’t mind shaving every day. I do not identify with my facial hair. I like my wife to shave her legs and underarms. This is a pain in the ass for her I am sure, but she does it because I like it.I could give you a long list of things we do to make each other happy, and things we DON’T DO because we feel strongly about it. For one…I hate sitting in a movie theater on a beautiful day to be outdoors. She LOVES movies. This is what her old boyfriends or girlfriends are for – go to the movies with her. It keeps both of us happy at the same time even though we are apart. My wife loves watching the evening news and I freaking HATE that. So I plug in my earbuds and vanish to my office for 30 minutes to surf porn on the web (or whatever) and blow my eardrums out with music. Yes, it is OUR house and I have a right to some peace and quiet when I get home from work and she has a right to watch what she wants on the TV. When the news is over we get together if we feel like it.
Sure I had to date a lot of women to find this one, but point is…giving up would not have done me much good. I kept swinging the bat until I finally connected and sent one out of the park in center field.
So for you guys who are determined to change NOTHING for a good woman, you won’t have any worries because you won’t keep one for long. For you dudes who aren’t so attached to your “Batman mustache” that it turns you Monk, keep swinging for the fences. Even if you never find a “keeper” the hunt can be a blast!

I believe ^THIS is the source of the problem at hand. Women want you to tell them “NO” most of the time. Like at least 80-90% of the time. Then the changes you are willing to make mean a lot more to them AND you don’t lose your alpha status in their subconscious.
This is a great learning point to make for the young guys just beginning to be interested in women. Don’t ever date just ONE at a time, let them KNOW you aren’t dating just them, and say NO often. It’s sounds quirky I know but women lose respect for men who say “yes” too much and change at their every whim.
And try not to marry the ones that don’t like you the way you are, which means spending time in the selection process or better yet for you non-gamblers…don’t marry any of them.

I know an awful lot of divorced people, and for someone – male or female – to be forbidden to EVER see their children for no good reason is pretty extreme. I’ve never seen that in my orbit of divorced couples. I have even dated a handful of divorced women with children and never even had the discussion of banning the dad for having any time he wanted. Often enough the guys had to be reminded that it was “their” weekend to babysit.
