Exactly as advertised

I purchased this with a bit of trepidation, unsure if a compilation cartridge like this would actually work. However, once I made the purchase and before it arrived I did some research on how the compilation cartridges are built. While I am a rather technical person (I work in IT), the process looked annoying and time consuming but otherwise like it would work with any system that can read NES games.

The cart plays fine on my RetroDuo, but the sound is slightly off. It isn't enough to really detract from the experience, and it may be caused by the RetroDuo or the TV I'm using (an older Hitachi 50-inch rear projection... it was free and just needed a new lamp, so I figured it would be fine as a secondary TV in the basement), so it may not be an issue for everyone.

The cart actually had 149 games on it, and the majority of them were big name titles. There are a few games that I had never heard of (and after playing a couple of them, I can understand why) but most of the titles I wanted are there. I have not tried the save function or gone back to a game that used the SRAM for saving the status of a game, so I can't speak for how that works.

So far, I'm happy with the purchase. I'll update the review if that changes.

My husband got this and he played it to make sure that it was working. Some of the other reviews said that it was hard to navigate and that there seems to be glitches. He did not experience any of these things. He's very excited about this as it has a lot of his old school games. He would buy it again.

Haven't been able to play all the games yet but all the ones I tried worked. They have versions of games too like Zelda and then Zelda 2, etc. I wish they had more original games vs the sequel 1.2.3 as I would prefer a larger variety vs playing the same game. So in that way, I would counter if it really is the 100 best games. Other than that, it's a good way to get a bunch of old nintendo games into one without having to store them all.
