Audi believes that a rich female celebrity will be valued lower than a homeless male? American Leftists are so brainwashed they probably believe this video has 100% integrity.

I hate it because I'm left a lot but I can't support this SJW stuff like this

Propoganda bullshit. This commercial is everything wrong with society. Women have every chance men have in this country so stop this fake news

It's really not propaganda bullshit. I experience this shit as a woman - sometimes from the men in my own damn family. I don't think it's always intentional, but it is an attitude passed on from previous generations, and one that needs to stop being passed on.

Is everything equal and sunshine and rainbows for everyone? Nope. Do all men have automatically perfect lives because they're men. Nooope.

But to tell any group of people that their experiences are bullshit, is - well - bullshit.

Feminism is a religion. Feminists have faith that they are oppressed despite a total lack of evidence. You live a pampered life in a gynocentric society that adores you. Stop whining like a spoiled brat.

Its crazy how the trolls were all over this thread before anyone else. It's almost like they're either paid to monitor threads like this, or they don't have anything else to do with their lives.

What trolls?

Apparently people who point out that it's a false statement are trolls. Not supporting the narrative's alternate facts makes you a troll.

I sort of made me want to support Audi. Maybe when I win the lottery.

Lying about the wage gap and pandering to sexist idiots makes you want to support them? Why?

"Sexist idiots" nice with the name calling and adding nothing to the discussion. These issues are more complicated than can be explained in a commercial, and yeah I'm sure they're just playing to their audience.

I like this commercial because it wasn't that far long ago women had to fight for the right to vote, to take control of our own body, and to pursue our education-to be more than mothers.

Go ahead and live in your lala land where everything is equal and fair.

Bannon has an article in his website stating how women aren't cut out for medicine and science and there should be a cap for women in those fields. This is a guy on Trump's cabinet so it's not like those ideologies are unfounded by the public.

It also wasn't that far long ago when men were being forced to die in war. And it's RIGHT NOW that men are discriminated against in the justice system and violence against men isn't taken seriously. Maybe sexism isn't as one-sided as feminists want to believe?

Go ahead and live in your lala land where everything is equal and fair.

Go ahead and live in your lala land where sexism is one-sided. Go ahead and live in your lala land where life as a man is paradise. Go ahead and live in your lala land where women earn 79% of what men earn for the exact same job even though every study shows you, Audi, and feminism are full of shit

Feminism purports that the institutional concept of patriarchy affects both men AND women negatively. It's patriarchal to believe that women are weak, and thus only men can be drafted to fight. It's patriarchal to believe that women are superior parents due to their "innate" maternity sense, and thus they should receive favoritism in custody issues. It's patriarchal to believe that women are less capable of evil or violence than men and thus grant them less harsh sentences for equal crimes.

You're turning your rightful vitriol and anger on the wrong group of people.

Is this why feminist organizations like NOW fought against equal rights for fathers?

It's patriarchal to believe that women are less capable of evil or violence than men and thus grant them less harsh sentences for equal crimes.

Is this why both Hillary Clinton and the Women's March fought for preferential treatment of female offenders? Is this why when Phillip Davies, an anti-feminist MP, brought up the discrimination against men in our justice system, feminists were against him?

You're turning your rightful vitriol and anger on the wrong group of people

I think you need to stop drinking the Kool Aid and start looking at what the feminist movement has actually been fighting for

I study feminist literary theory. I never claimed to align myself with modern political movements, but thanks for the logical jump!

Like any belief system, feminism is a spectrum with individuals populating each extreme you can think of. I'm a moderate who disagrees with the radicalized backlash some modern feminists engage in, wherein they aim to raise up women by trashing men, an approach I find just as hateful and problematic as misogyny itself. :)

Eta Perhaps the "kool aid" is assuming that all views which differ from yours are monolithic and equally undeserving of your attention. You'll never really get out of your own echo chamber that way.

feminism is a spectrum with individuals populating each extreme you can think of

And the feminists who have supported equality (eg, Warren Farrel, Karen Decrow, Christina Hoff Sommers) have been opposed by the majority of feminists. All of the modern mainstream feminists are anti-equality

You'll never really get out of your own echo chamber that way

I've left my echo chamber, when will you leave yours? How much have you actually listened to egalitarians and other anti-feminists?

EDIT: And let's not forget this thread is about the feminists behind the Audi campaign, lying about the wage gap. Are you going to defend the feminists who lie about women earning 21% less than men for the same job?

Holy moly you're really looking for a reason to hate somebody. I'll leave you to it then.

So we should hire someone based on their sex and not their work ability? Women can be and do whatever they want here in the USA. If women think its so unfair here they should go to Saudi Arabi and see how much better off they have it here where they ARE TREATED EQUALLY.

I come from a third world country where women are treated as shit to come to the US and still have to fight for the right to my body. Your standards are way low of you think women don't have problems here in the states.

[–]Unpopular_But_True [スコア非表示]  (1子コメント)

Details? How have you had to fight for the right to your body and how was it comparable to the country you came from?

http://m.sacurrent.com/the-daily/archives/2017/01/25/the-growing-list-of-anti-abortion-bills-texas-conservative-lawmakers-hope-to-pass-this-year#

In the last month there are over a dozen laws Texas legislatures are trying to pass to make abortion illegal. Several years back they successfully passed a law (was appealed to Supreme Court who ruled it unconstitutional) that was masked with trying to "improve women's health" which closed down most clinics providing care such as birth control & cancer screening for most of Texan women. I was there protesting that bill to see it pass a month later.

Let's just say I have untraditional parents who pushed me to get an education when we managed to immigrant to the US. My mom wasn't so lucky as birth control wasn't accessible and she had 4 miscarriages. This isn't even considering the social pressure for women to be mothers first and everything else second.

The Audi campaign is about women earning 21% less for doing the same job, which is a feminist lie. Feminism itself is about the idea that sexism against men doesn't exist, which is also a lie. Your standards are way low if you support misandrists and liars

I'm not seeing anything in there, even from a biased feminist organization, that shows women earn 21% less than men do for the same job

If you want to believe it go ahead, but I still say it's a lie

I will believe it because it's data gathered nationwide versus a stranger online telling me otherwise.

Here's another source since any organization with "women" in it is apparently biased.

You are appropriating the suffering of dead people for personal gain and pretending to be noble warriors. It is disgusting. Also, what the fuck is wrong with being a mother? It is the most important job in the world.

100% was ready to buy whatever they were selling before I knew whose ad it was. I know the marketing team is playing on my concerns with the current state of affairs, but they made it second to the brand and that was enough to make me want an Audi.
