Happy New Years! I hope everyone's 2017 is epic and we all get to achieve our goals and desires!
Ps. I am praying we can finally make the move to developing ReVeN without too many distractions and set backs. If I'll be honest, the last two years have been nothing short but awful and beyond difficult. Developing out of pocket isn't easy but it's something we knew we were getting ourselves into when we started this Kickstarter. Cheers to a bright 2017!
@David
I agree :/ it's been a while. Holidays have been crazy and I just got engaged so I haven't really done too much but I'll post some sketches I've worked on for ReVeN of some enemies on here later tonight! Sorry about that guys.
It's really getting to be past-due for an update. Guys, it really can't be that hard to just do a small update once every other month. As I said before just a new sprite or something to show progress on Reven.
@The Steve - in fact, I have receive a response just now not too long ago from the project creator:
"Hey sorry,
I work night shift so sometimes I don't see my emails. Austin has been on vacation with family for the last week. I'll force him to add you tonight. When I get home I'll respond to your full message. I didn't see the one you sent in Oct."
These two came after my response to the above, AND the other dev provided me a friend invite on Steam not long afterwards.
"No problem! Feel free to share! Honestly the hardest part about this whole thing is being able to communicate. I have SO many commitments to maintain besides XBridge. Soon to be wife and main ting that relationship, family, my full time job, and trying to find a way to secure my future when I do get married. This isn't easy and sometimes I don't find enough time to do everything. Not to mention I do need time for myself to make sure I maintain a healthy balance physically and mentally. So I do apologize if we respond terribly late. I promise you I wish ReVeN was was the game being worked on instead of XBridge. But as a game maker and co-owner of a company when you start something you have to finish it.. Otherwise that shows others your inability to commit and complete projects. It's why XBridge hasn't been dropped even though it's taken waaaay to long to make. So I do apologize about the long wait :/"
"Ps. I'm on my phone so if I misspell anything please excuse it hahaha!"
As far as I am concerned, these guys are legit. :)
@ The Steve - I am not so willing to call this project a scam for two reasons: 1) The developers had said they were going to try and finish up X-Bridge, and get the last bits of polish done before moving forward with this project - Indeed, I have been downloading patches for the X-Bridge game every once in a while.
2) The Number of projects Team Varia has backed has stayed at a remarkably low number - only 2 projects, which as far as I can tell, has not changed since. A tell-tale sign that a project creator has possible scammed their backers is to note the number of projects backed before they made a project, and after; if that number has gone up significantly in a period of time (most importantly, after the 1-2 week period where KS releases the funds to the project creator), then the project creator has probably scammed.
Hi guys. i'll try to be as fair as I can. Here is my point of view. I don't blame you, devs. However, there is a problem. I receive several updates about Xbridge that IS NOT the project I backed. I'm not interested in Xbridge. I feel like I backed a project and you are working on another one. Whatever the problems you could have, this is none of my business. It doesn't concern backers. I backed several projects. I had no problem (except another one but that will receive the same comment). So far, whatever the way you choose to complete this project, working on something else to have more funds, it does not concern me as long as you keep working on the Reven project. So far, as already stated in the comments, we mainly receive Xbridge update... There are less Reven updates than Xbridge updates... I feel my money went to the Xbridge project and not Reven Project. Sorry, devs, but this is not fair for backers that are interested in Reven and not Xbridge. Reven should have be the main project and Xbridge a sub project. This is not what it seems. I guess this is why you have several disappointed backers. As I am..
Please stop giving us xbridge updates. This was suppose to be a REVEN campaign. Looks like the joke was on us. "SURPRISE" it's actually an xBridge campaign that looks nothing like reven or is even in the same genre. I don't see anything particularly unique or remotely interesting about xbridge. It's also pretty plausible to imagine that with such a small team developing a game there has been next to no time invested in reven. The project we were promised sold on and invested in. In the real world that is called false advertisement. In day to day life that is called deception. At this point we can see the type of guys we have creating this project. At best two very simple minded fellows without the ability to think through consequence of actions. At worst two deceivers who care nothing for their word.
So stop updating xbridge. Make a separate update page for it if you must. it just really bothers me that I was robbed through deception and every time you update xbridge it sends me a nice little email reminder of that. It's pretty safe to say that reven will either never be completed. Be rushed to completion and produce a poor finished product, or be released sometime late 2018 early 2019 if the creators do spend the time to do it right. All three cases are just so wrong it's frustrating.
Sorry for venting, just had a moment where I thought you may not really understand what goes on in some of us disappointed backers.
And I just looked at the campaign page again and found the answer to my question there. Sorry, it's been a while since I looked at this project's page.
Won't be extremely relevant for a good while but regarding the various skins for ReVeN will those of us that ordered multiple copies of the game be given the same number of copies of the skins? (For example if someone purchased 4 copies of the game would they receive 4 copies of each skin?)
@ David Desjardin:
Hey David! We are actually working on releasing a "full version" that will only require someone to go to a website to play it without the use of steam. We are already on it! (:
@Philip: On this Campaign page, where it shows the project, click on "Varia Games" under "Created by". From there, you should be able to find the "Contact me" option on the bottom right hand side of the pop up.
I believe he was referring to AMR2. Another Metroidvania Remake. Unfortunately that was a fan game that was taken down. XBridge is still up and kicking on steam. (:
This KS campaign is a good example of the limits of KS :
- no definition on how the spendings should be communicated to the backers
- no definition of the status of a backer (are we investors ? are we customers ? are we members ?)
- is there any amount of money KS "recommends" the creator of a project to ask ?
I say this, but these problems aren't on Varia Games (or at least, not SOLELY, on VG). As they stated : they are humans, they make mistakes. There definitely IS a grey area in the KS system regarding how the backers & project creators should be regarded as.
I wish I could say I'm surprised there are no updates on this project, but I'm not. This project is just one big joke. Not even as much of a screenshot, since "picking up this project again", at the beginning of the year. Just a lot of talking our of your asses, and pity parties is all I see. I'm really glad I only backed $10 on this mess. None the less, I reported for post funding issues as well. Not sure what Kickstarter will do, but whatever. See you again in another 6 months, when I remember that I backed this failure.
I encourage everyone who finds the creator's lack of updates on Reven itself unacceptable to go to the Campaign tab, scroll to the bottom, click Report this Project, and choose Post-funding Issues.
We need a real status update on Reven itself and not some vague "it's being worked on, and XBridge". Provide a broken half-working demo. Provide proof that there is work being done. Provide sprites. Real updates, with real Reven roadmap, and assets that aren't some other game.
Thanks Josh for understanding. The struggles of game development are VERY REAL. We wish you the best on your journey as a fellow game dev and hope its smooth sailing for you! :)
Though we want to correct something you stated as to not confuse other backers. We want to make sure everyone has the same info.
"They didn't realize that the KS money wasn't enough to finish ReVeN so they went out of their way to try to make Xbridge from the ground up."
We have always known that 18k and ever 37k wasn't enough. We have told everyone from the very beginning. 37k would help up spend more time in the games production. Shortly after we did decide to make XBridge. Here is a quote from us via IGN during the Kickstarter:
"At the 18,000 goal, the game will be funded," he said. "However, we will have to get part-time jobs to help support ourselves until we can finish the game. We calculated that it will take up to two years for the game to be completed, possibly a little longer. Sadly we really aren't in a position where we can have this Kickstarter fail, which is why we chose a smaller initial goal. But yes, we can complete the game and fulfill the backer rewards."
Rogeles said the studio is ideally hoping for $37,000, at the very least; this would give the team a full year's worth of time and living expenses. If the studio does reach its stretch goals, Rogeles said they will then focus on multiplayer and cooperative components of ReVen, as well as versions for the Wii U, and Sony and Microsoft platforms."
Thanks again for understanding Josh. You are more than welcome to show us your projects and hopefully we can assist you whenever you have questions in the future. :)
They have been honest with us. They didn't realize that the KS money wasn't enough to finish ReVeN so they went out of their way to try to make Xbridge from the ground up. They told me that they put aside the KS money on rewards so Xbridge had $0 from the start. They both had to get paying jobs to help them make Xbridge. The whole point of Xbridge is to not only help them make more money to help finish making ReVeN, it is also to help build an engine for ReVeN's level builder and the whole game.
Also, as a creator myself, I understand the struggles they guys are going through. You two are being supportive with your comments by telling them that you care and you want the game. That's great but you are not understanding the struggles they guys are going through. Sure it will take a while and will leave a lot of people burned out but they hear us and know they really want to finish ReVeN for us. They are just in a creative block and struggling to find a way out and they are trying to solve it with XBridge.
Making games is hard and is time consuming. The coding, , debugging, making art, designs for NPCs, backgrounds, ect, it is time consuming to make that perfect game. If I made one, oh boy, I would be pulling out my own hair. XP
I hope you guys can understand what I am saying. If you do, great! If not, I am sorry that I failed to explain any better.
I'd like to know how many backers would be willing to settle for an SD version of Reven without the fancy new HD textures that seem to be taking forever to get finished. I honestly would be elated to see a playable demo consisting of the stuff shown in the original pitch trailer. But apparently that's just too much to ask. Hell, it seems to be too much to ask just to get some pictures of the new HD textures too.
Well, thanks for nothing then I guess. No reason to be excited for this game thru updates of any kind since "youll give us what you give us." If you didn't want people to want to follow the progress of REVEN, then why go through Kickstarter? We all want to be excited for Reven, and we all were, when we funded it. Now you are just saying Fuck You to us. That is real classy.
I am sure I am not the only one wanting a Reven roadmap or proof of actual progress. And no one is "creating havoc" in the comment section. Sorry a couple of us are trying to be real with you. If it were havoc then there would be plenty more than just 2 of us commenting. We just want answers for normal project shit that should be in the update anyway. A Reven roadmap is not some awful thing to provide, as it is usually part of a project.
What that shows me, is that you guys don't actually have a REVEN Roadmap, you haven't set any development goals for yourself other than "finish Reven eventually."
Pretty sad that you guys get all defensive when someone isn't happy about the state of your project. Like I have said in every post, I want to play Reven. I was excited about the game and obviously want to know how its going with it. You created fans with this project but are turning into Phil Fish.
So basically you're denying your backers what they're asking you for...and I love how you conveniently avoided answering me.
You guys are real a-holes. If I knew you were going to be like this, I'd have invested my money elsewhere. I can guarantee you I will never buy any of your products from this point forward; not only because of how you're acting here in the comment but also because of how poorly you're managing your projects.
There's being honestly delayed and treating your backers - the people who gave you the effing money you begged for - properly and honoring their requests for proper updates on the actual project...and then there's what you're doing. You're being a-holes just like Myhre from the Midora project was. How hard is it to treat your backers properly?
You took our money, and we're asking you for a PROPER Reven update. Not some other game; Reven. And what do you do? You dodge the requests, respond with rudeness, and refuse to give us the least of what we deserve as backers.
One thing is for sure: You will never see another dime of my money for anything you ever do in the future. I imagine you've burned 1400 other bridges as well. At this point, you might as well run a campaign to fund XBridge, screw over those people and use that money to fund the real Reven.
I mean, really, when you take money from people for your project then spend it on something else entirely, who in the hell says this to the people who were nice enough to give you that money in the first place:
"No we will not give you a ReVeN roadmap. We will give you what we give you. We will update when we update. You do not control the outcome of how these games are made. "
That's a huge F-You. That's completely unacceptable. Everything you've done over the past 2 years has become increasingly unacceptable. At this point, you need to start providing REVEN updates or start issuing refunds.
Incorrect, we have always been transparent. The update "Where we are and where we are headed" informed backers what has happened in our personal lives and how that has caused delays developing both games. We have always tried to keep our personal lives... well.. personal. But being indie really has its set backs.
A ReVeN Beta is coming. And it will arrive when we feel we a have a version that we deem is functional, playable, and fun. As stated before, we are working on XBridge currently. Also as stated before, ReVeN uses code from XBridge so we are still at a technical level working on ReVeN. What we are lacking for ReVeN are art assets since the one artist we have is working on XBridge.
We will not grant your (Tumor) specific wishes. No we will not give you a ReVeN roadmap. We will give you what we give you. We will update when we update. You do not control the outcome of how these games are made. You do not have to live and breathe these games to life. We do. We have to spend our personal time, sweat, and hard work in developing this game.
We have never exclaimed or have given an exact release date. We have always informed everyone of a date we believed it would be done by.
IGN quotes us:
"At the 18,000 goal, the game will be funded," he said. "However, we will have to get part-time jobs to help support ourselves until we can finish the game. We calculated that it will take up to two years for the game to be completed, possibly a little longer. Sadly we really aren't in a position where we can have this Kickstarter fail, which is why we chose a smaller initial goal. But yes, we can complete the game and fulfill the backer rewards."
Rogeles said the studio is ideally hoping for $37,000, at the very least; this would give the team a full year's worth of time and living expenses. If the studio does reach its stretch goals, Rogeles said they will then focus on multiplayer and cooperative components of ReVen, as well as versions for the Wii U, and Sony and Microsoft platforms.
As of this writing, the project has raised almost $10,000 toward its goal.
"You have been receiving updates. For XBridge and not ReVeN. But that still shows you we are working towards our goals. We've been straight forward with everyone since April of 2014.
There has never been a lack of Transparency. We've always been honest and straight forward. If you choose to not fully read and educate yourself on what we are doing that is on you. No one is on a high horse."
I just want to point out that you have been "straight forward" with everyone since April of 2016, not 2014. There has been a lack of transparency which you straight up tell us that you have been feeding us some lines of bullshit in your April 2016 update where you "come clean."
Please don't talk to people like they are stupid, and try to tell us that WE haven't read everything you have posted.
If you had been straight up with us, then you would never have kept telling us that a Reven Beta was coming. And you damn sure wouldn't have had to write that April 2016 update.
I know you aren't going to respond anymore, since you only want praise and no criticism, but we just want to see Reven. That is how it has been from the beginning.
Please provide an update with an updated REVEN roadmap please.
I haven't played XBridge. I have no interest in XBridge. I didn't back XBridge. I want Reven updates. You claim you're re-doing it all in HD, so maybe you should show off the work on the new HD sprites at a minimum, assuming those exist.
You've got backers practically begging you to just give us something to have faith on with Reven...you have backers specifically asking for you to give us the beta - even if it's the NON-HD beta. We want SOMETHING, yet you keep giving us nothing, regardless of how nice or adamant we are about it...just words, reassurances, and XBridge.
I think if you ran a poll right now asking if backers wanted an SD beta/demo, you would overwhelming hear: YES. Give us something. I'm calling you out on that. I'm calling you out on the HD sprites as well. That's what we want...give us those in an update.
Seriously though, I'm still excited to play this game. I have waited plenty of time for games before. I understand how long it takes. But Kickstarter is not the same format as other Indie developers that didn't use Kickstarter. Updates and progress shown, is expected here. That is what happens when you use this site to fund your game(s). If you were a normal Indie Developer that didn't utilize crowd funding, then you wouldn't already have my money. Since you do, the backers are part of the process. I don't expect you to kill yourselves to get this game done, If Reven, instead of Xbridge would have been worked on to begin with, then Reven would already be done, and would probably be selling fairly well on Steam already.
I have read every update, and don't even understand how Xbridge generated revenue in the first place.
So what you are saying is, you deliberately put a bullshit date on the original campaign so we would pledge, knowing fully that you couldn't fulfill the campaign on the money raised. And you come up with shitloads of excuses on why there is no progress. I mean it is great how transparent you were just then but you basically just told us that working on this game is a low priority (a game you haven't even started working on nonetheless).
I guess I am the moron for thinking people who start Kickstarters actually expect to hit the goals they put in the campaign during the fundraising portion... Instead, by your admission, the goals were put in place just to get people to pledge and the actual plan was far different.
Your words:
"We were also aware that 18k wasn't enough to fund the game. But it would DEFINITELY kickstart us to building our business and paying for tech and bills to help us establish a foundation for VariaGames. We never stated it was your fault we didn't get more. What we did state was 18k would help us complete the game. And it did help us. And we are still well on our way in completing these games."
Where is the proof that you are "well on your way" to completing Reven? A game that none of us have seen an update on since the beginning... Im not too worried about $10, yet I imagine that even if you would have recieved enough money to fund this game, that we would be in the same situation we are in now.
ALL I WANT IS TO SEE ANY PROGRESS ON REVEN. For the record, I was supportive when the "plan changed" as well, but I think 2 years and 4 months after the campaign ended, is enough time to show us something, anything.
You claimed in June 2014 when you shifted to your sidejob of making X-Bridge, that Reven was being worked on along side... Which you have not shown to be true.
Jan 1 2015 - REVEN BETA soon...
March 27 2015 - As they finish up XBridge and slowly shift their focus to ReVeN, I only ask that you remain patient for what's to come.
Dec 2 2015 - Xbridge on Steam now (Still no Reven Beta, or Reven update)
April 4 2016 - You come clean about the fact that Reven hasn't been worked on, only X-Bridge, Reven now TBD in 2017
Now - You claim those of us that speak up are unreasonable haters that don't read updates. There was never a Reven Beta, and Xbridge was finished in December. 7 months later, still nothing to show for REVEN except excuses about not having any time to work on it but it's still definitely being worked on, and we are assholes because we want updates on a game we backed 2 years 4 months ago. Anything at all. But we are the bad guys here. Cause we "don't support you" as well as those that don't vocalize at all. Sorry, I am soooo sorry I am such a douche.
Do you fully read our updates or comments? As stated in the past we had to recreate ReVeN visually from the ground up after reaching the HD tier. All those original assets are still there but do not have updated sprites. There isn't anything relevant to show.
How many times are we going to tell you our focus is on XBridge and not ReVeN right now.
I'm so glad you were able to come through on your projects. That's an achievement! Something we wish we could have done. But unfortunately couldn't. But we are still going.
You have been receiving updates. For XBridge and not ReVeN. But that still shows you we are working towards our goals. We've been straight forward with everyone since April of 2014.
There has never been a lack of Transparency. We've always been honest and straight forward. If you choose to not fully read and educate yourself on what we are doing that is on you. No one is on a high horse.
There is nothing else to say. You have been fully informed on what's going on and what we are doing.
Have you enjoyed XBridge? Is there anything you think would add to the current build? I'd suggest talking in the general chat. We've got some players that talk on there. They like to share their levels and tell each other about it! Check out some of the cool things we've got going on there! (:
And what's with the October 2015 comment on Steam?
"We're still holding true to the promise of a release date set in 2016 for ReVeN. As to the exact date, It's done when it's done, and trust me, it's better this way."
If this is as true as claimed, then again I ask: Why not release a demo to backers?
Oh come off your high horse. If anything, I'm extremely patient. I've backed many projects that have been in delayed development and so long as they're showing some level of progress with frequent updates, I have little room to complain because I at least feel they're being forward and doing their best in the face of setbacks to work ont he project we funded as backers.
For example, Paradise Lost: First Contact which was supposed to be delivered in 2014. Feel free to go read my comments there where I defend the developer for providing candid updates and who are showing progress albeit slower than I would hope, but they've not only recovered from losing all of their code but have started over on a better build and have updated nearly every single month with some level of progress even if it's just showing off a handful of new sprite animations. They're doing the right thing, even though they had rough moments with the initial major setback.
But rather than working on Reven and providing updates on Reven, you guys are taking the Midora approach of attacking backers, providing zero updates on Reven what-so-ever, working heavily on smaller completely unrelated side projects, and offering nothing in the form of progress on Reven.
You keep saying it would "help complete the game" which denotes that there is in fact a game, which there isn't as far as we know, because you haven't showed us anything to prove otherwise since the initial campaign. If you had playable portions for the pitch video, why not release an alpha demo to backers? Give us something...anything related to Reven directly.
How do you expect people who funded you to react? You make it seem like it's totally cool to slack on updates because people like the Neverhood crew don't update the Armikrog campaign but once a year, but guess what: backers are furious. What makes you think it's ok for you to do it too and not get push-back?
Where is anything related to Reven? Anything. Seriously. And don't talk to me like I haven't had a campaign that went over budget. I had to spend far more out of my own pocket and into debt to complete my project, but I came through because it was my responsibility to backers...and I came through on time. I never even bothered to mention my money problems to backers because it was my responsibility to deliver on time. And if I didn't I darn sure would have kept them updated frequently. I don't ask any more from you than what I would do on my own campaign.
"Even when you let us know what was going on, most of us weren't too troubled about it. We just told you that we want transparency about what is going on. "
We have always been Transparent. We have informed everyone on what's going on. The problem is that some backer just don't read updates. That is not our fault. Another issue is that some of you think we can just throw updates out there every other week or month. In past updates we haven't mentioned multiple times:
-We are just two people making these games.
-We areUnable to work on these games full time
-Why we are making XBridge
-Why we haven't been able to show off ReVeN
The very few amount of hours we get to put into these games is ridiculous. It upsets us. And we can barely get much done. That's the issue of having full time jobs, families, relationships, and taking breaks because we are human. Nothing has changed since the updates we've posted. We are still working on debugging XBridge. We are not directly working on ReVeN right now. Do you really wish to see lines of code as updates? Until we have something solid to show of course we will show it.
David was most certainly being toxic. Whenever we said anything he blew it off or responded rudely. Let me ask you this, would some of you that are very upset talk to us in person the way you comment? I highly doubt it. Just because we can't get updates out on Your desired time doesn't mean we aren't working. There are A Lot of backers who support us knowing what we are doing isn't the original plan. I'll make the guess and say it's because they read all of the updates.
We were also aware that 18k wasn't enough to fund the game. But it would DEFINITELY kickstart us to building our business and paying for tech and bills to help us establish a foundation for VariaGames. We never stated it was your fault we didn't get more. What we did state was 18k would help us complete the game. And it did help us. And we are still well on our way in completing these games.
I would like to remind you that we are indie developers, not a AAA company. And even so, most AAA companies go years without giving an update on their game. All kickstarters are different because our struggles are different. We apologize that we can't get updates out sooner for you but that is just the way it is. We can't. Trust us, if we could update you or show you something sooner we would. It pleases us much more than you know to see your reactions to the hard work we put into making these games.
Wow, just wow. You see David as being "deliberately toxic" with a "hardened heart," While he (like most of us) just want to see SOMETHING of the actual game we backed. While he may have used wordage that you didn't like, but completely blowing people off is garbage.
Bottom line: We backed an idea for a game that you pitched. It was successfully funded by us. Instead of working on said game, you decided to work on and complete a different game set in the same universe to "gain the skills" needed to make the game we backed. You pretty much did a bait and switch on us.
Even when you let us know what was going on, most of us weren't too troubled about it. We just told you that we want transparency about what is going on.
If anyone is being deliberately toxic, it is in reaction to what you have posted here.
I'll reiterate, all we want is to be in the loop. We want to see the game we backed being worked on. I would argue that people that back Kickstarter projects don't just back "products" they back the fact that they get to see the process in action and be a spectator every step of the way. That is what we are asking for here, or at least I am.
I am still excited to play your game whenever it finishes development, but I also want to see the progress.
Hopefully you read this and don't just write me off as well.
If anyone has a question please feel free to ask. As many know we are always happy to answer your questions and build great relationships with you.
What we will not do is waste time with individuals that are purposefully toxic. Their hearts are hardened and nothing not even good news will change their mind.
We appreciate all of our backers who understand the struggle we go through and are patient with us as we try our best to bring you these games. Thank you all, we hope you are enjoying your early access ver. of XBridge for those who asked for a copy. We can't wait to see the levels you create! Cheers!
That's a good way to blow off someone who supported you rather than providing a detailed explanation for everyone. This is why people are so mad at you; it's a complete lack of transparency on the actual Reven project itself.
Use this space to cheer the creator along, ask questions, and talk to your fellow backers. Please remember to be respectful and considerate. Thanks!

@Everyone

It's really getting to be past-due for an update. Guys, it really can't be that hard to just do a small update once every other month. As I said before just a new sprite or something to show progress on Reven.

Oh I don't doubt that they're trying to be legit. I'm just wondering if Kickstarter themselves have responded to anyone.
AuronStarglider778 on November 19
AuronStarglider778 on November 18

As I am..
Caleb on October 15

Update #59: You are all bad people with mean words who gave us money for nothing. Be nicer.
TechnoWolf on August 24
This KS campaign is a good example of the limits of KS :
- no definition on how the spendings should be communicated to the backers
- no definition of the status of a backer (are we investors ? are we customers ? are we members ?)
- is there any amount of money KS "recommends" the creator of a project to ask ?
I say this, but these problems aren't on Varia Games (or at least, not SOLELY, on VG). As they stated : they are humans, they make mistakes. There definitely IS a grey area in the KS system regarding how the backers & project creators should be regarded as.
xmajinjoshx on August 13
I wish I could say I'm surprised there are no updates on this project, but I'm not. This project is just one big joke.

Thank you but just know that I am just an understanding backer.
Varia Games Creator on July 20, 2016

* "...understanding the struggles these guys..."
I am not good with grammar apparently. XP
Josh Wise on July 20, 2016
@David and Tumor
David Desjardin on July 17, 2016
I'd like to know how many backers would be willing to settle for an SD version of Reven without the fancy new HD textures that seem to be taking forever to get finished. I honestly would be elated to see a playable demo consisting of the stuff shown in the original pitch trailer. But apparently that's just too much to ask. Hell, it seems to be too much to ask just to get some pictures of the new HD textures too.
Tumor on July 17, 2016
@Creators
David Desjardin on July 13, 2016
Varia Games Creator on July 13, 2016
@Tumor

If the studio does reach its stretch goals, Rogeles said they will then focus on multiplayer and cooperative components of ReVen, as well as versions for the Wii U, and Sony and Microsoft platforms.
As of this writing, the project has raised almost $10,000 toward its goal.

Here is a snippet of what you replied to David:

Tumor on July 7, 2016
Tumor on July 7, 2016
@creator
Varia Games Creator on July 7, 2016

David Desjardin on July 7, 2016
And what's with the October 2015 comment on Steam?
"We're still holding true to the promise of a release date set in 2016 for ReVeN. As to the exact date, It's done when it's done, and trust me, it's better this way."
If this is as true as claimed, then again I ask: Why not release a demo to backers?
David Desjardin on July 7, 2016
