About this project
Last June, having been fed up with wasting money on weak flimsy and gimmicky uncertified cables that don’t last, we launched the Python cable, the world’s first charging cable with Tough Kevlar® Reinforced Braided PVC Skin for superior strength and backed it with a lifetime warranty.
This was our first Kickstarter campaign and thanks to our amazing backers we reached our goal and delivered in October. Logistics were a nightmare, orders took too many days to reach backers, some backers received the wrong cables, others received more or less cables and so on. We learned a lot from that experience and we made several improvements from all the positive feedback we received and we are more experienced and knowledgeable now to continue our journey.
One thing proved true: Python was built as a solid, versatile, durable, beautiful and fast charging cable and with users in mind. We backed it with attentive service and lifetime warranty and created a cable that is second to none. After more than 10,000 cables sold we are proud to introduce two additions to the Python family of cables.

And how it all started...
What makes Python so strong is the DuPont Kevlar® Reinforced braided PVC throughout the cable. What is Kevlar? It's the stuff that bulletproof vests are made of. It is the most powerful and strongest material in the world.
The tough Kevlar and PVC braiding material and strain-relief collars allow for super agility, movement, strength and flexibility.
Python is Universal, it offers all the widely used connectors in a matching set of cables. It’s the only charging cable you would ever need.
Cables Explained
The dual charging cable combines the two widely used connectors into one charging cable that’s easy to share with anyone whether they use an iPhone, Android and other devices using the Lightning, Micro USB or USB-C connectors.

We know you don’t always have a lot of time to charge your devices that’s why we engineered Python cables to charge your devices at the speed of light. It is up to twice as fast as regular charging cables, which allows you to top-off your battery quickly during those times you’re away from the wall.
Many cheaper cables go with thinner wires to cut cost, and they can’t handle enough current to charge newer, power-hungry devices at full speed. A cheaply made cable can also hamper data-transfer speeds. The many leading brands cables we tested had 19% slower data-read speeds than Python, and the slowest-charging cable conducted 41% less current than the Python cable.
Buying after market USB cables will pretty much always result in getting cheap quality 30/30 cables and your device will barely break 500mAh when it charges, maybe even less. This isn't the only issue though. After you use a cable for a while it eventually stress near the plugs and causes poor connectivity between your device and the wire.

Python was born out of the necessity for a reliable and efficient charging solution, to de-clutter and to de-stress your life! The tough 3M braiding material keep the Python Cable inherently tangle-free.
The only thing that is missing from Python is shortcuts, gimmicks, cheap material and wishful promises. The rest is a workhorse that is certified, strong, fast, reliable and durable to last a lifetime.
Risks and challenges
We’ve worked hard over the last year to get the Python cable to this point and we've successfully built and delivered beautiful, reliable fast cables to backers. As we continue this journey we are introducing new additions to the Python Family of Cables and we have completed critical milestones with the help of many knowledgeable people. We are continuing with our very reputable manufacturer who offers great engineering support and development tools. What remains is completing the manufacturing phase and so we're confident that manufacturing risk is at a minimum.
We are almost ready to push the green button and start production with our manufacturer. We have done our testing and certification and cannot wait to put it into your hands. We anticipate a manufacturing period of 8 weeks from the end of the campaign to start shipping Python to you. This is possible because we’ve already completed our R&D, obtained our Apple MFi, USB-IF and Quick Charge certification, created the injection mould and the rest we can complete with your help and have the cables shipped to you 8 weeks after the end of this campaign and no later than April 28th, 2017.
