The better question could be, which countries are not reporting under the OECD AEI/CRS?

One of the few significant non-reporting countries is Taiwan, assuming you don't follow the One China strategy. China and Hong Kong, along with almost all other rich countries report foreign accounts to the account owner's tax man back home.

I think Taiwan has problems in the years to come given China's increasing size of testicles.

Does it matter much? you don't need to use an exchange if you want to "hide" your identity.

I just think there should be an easy way to buy bitcoins at market price. The hassle of proving identity to Coinbase is ridiculous- the process of buying bitcoins for someone who just learned about them shouldn't take longer than 5 minutes. They had me wait 24 hours after my CC declined the international payment and now they won't take my ID photo because my webcam is bad.

You don't have to use an exchange, but then you need to pay fees. I used a bitcoin ATM once and it was pretty convenient, but way too expensive.

If bitcoin is harder to use than PayPal, and it isn't anonymous, than what is the point, anyway?

It sounds to me like Coinbase is hard to use, not Bitcoin.

KYC and money laundering shouldn't be crimes. But they are so we have to work with the existing structure. Don't run away from it or the authorities will clamp down hard core on us
