That was my thought too--keep it in English (which many Germans can read and translate for others) to avoid endangering Germans for thought crimes

Too wordy--many of mine are 888 but the left-right balance between image and text keeps it from being unreadable; you want your wordier memes to be more like a magazine infographic than a black tee shirt you'd find in the Nazi corner of the gun show
Also when you're using lots of text, avoid high contrast designs or it fatigues the eye--deep hues + white text = uncomfortable to read for very long
Canva is an online app that's free and offers excellent graphic design tutorials--study them carefully and then apply what you learned to your own work
You can also use their free templates if you're too lazy to start from scratch; they have some very good ones formatted for social media, print, etc. and make good design accessible for any budding shitlord, no matter how little experience you have in graphic design

ALB also uses color in the text to emphasize keywords, a color scheme that is warmer and less starkly contrasting than B&W, and more open space in the text for readability.
