So I'm in my car listening to my radio. Just after a song ended, a guy started narrating. He was reminiscing about his days in college. He said he was an average looking guy from a slightly underprivileged family, and he was in love with a hot girl who came from a good family. But the girl ignored him and only dated hot guys. Fast forward about 10 years, he's saying he has a good job and lives a comfortable life ,when one day he gets a call from his long time crush. She decides to meet him in a cafe. When they meet she asks him how he is, and before he even answers, she asks him how much he is earning a year. On hearing his salary, she tells the guy "I'll marry you"(She doesn't even ask, just straight out orders him). The guy is ecstatic and buys a ring for her. As it turned out the whole thing was an ad for some jewellery company but this was the story they used. I couldn't believe my ears. This is what "normal" means in 2017.
