Why?

Because the majority of videos being spread and linked to have originated with alt-right, neo-nazi, Mike Cernovich, James O'Keefe, and other such accounts. Anyone linking those accounts and their videos as a way of condemning protestors should know better.

Until the dust has settled and actual reporters have independently-verified information and videos, this topic will be locked from Ghazi. There is no excuse for people to spread potentially false information, especially when the information consists of a link to a red hat-wearing, Pepe-sporting, America First bio-having twitter account, or (in the case of the "My friend was maced while talking to local news!" video) a Twitter account claiming to represent a muslim woman whose feed consists of nothing but pro-Trump rhetoric and Cernovich retweets.

This subreddit can and will do better. Years of dealing with GamerGate propaganda should've equipped everyone here with the skills to discern the difference between propaganda and actual information, not to mention the basic knowledge of right-wing tactics in the immediate aftermath of any politically-charged event.

To witness Ghazelles doing the right's work for them is beyond depressing.
