Politico noted that the last time a representative for Trump appeared on a CNN show was Jan. 8, before the inauguration.
Though the White House will not send a spokesperson to defend Trump on air, the administration will still answer queries from reporters, according to Politico.
Trump has picked on CNN since he was a candidate for the presidency, and his feud with the network escalated after the election. At a press conference in early January, Trump refused to let a CNN reporter ask him a question, labeling the network "fake news." Then following his inauguration, Trump blasted CNN's coverage of Inauguration Day, mocked the network's ratings, and again labeled the outlet "fake news."
