As you're well aware, mod mail was built for this very purpose.

We do not appreciate the way you've come in here and taken on one of our subscribers directly. We would have preferred to just have been notified about your issues about the offending post.

Please do us the courtesy of working with us first on issues like this going forward

We would greatly appreciate collaboration in future and I'm sure you'll agree that this situation has escalated further than it reasonably should have done and dominated the conversation on the thread.         This is by no means a valid reason to ban someone. Not messaging the mods over a manner matter is not a reason to be banned. You clarify respectfully and leave it at that, at worst you issue a warning unless there's prior infringements, which there doesn't seem to be. Either you banned him for saying "Will they delete this like the first two posted?" or you banned him for his conduct on another subreddit.

        You want him to basically grovel to you so you can jerk off about how powerful you are. It's disgusting.

              Is that actually the way a mod of a sub should be handling business? Honestly, mate, I know that modding isn't easy and you put up with a lot of shit, but to come into a different sub and do this is probably the worst form of moderation I've sen outside of political subs. From what I can see the OP didn't do anything that constitutes a ban in /r/soccer's rules and you've decided to do this because you've felt slighted. I hope this is a one-off and that you were having a bad day (and that you reinstate that user) but based on your responses in this thread it sounds like you actually feel justified in what you've done and will continue to use your moderation account in this way in the future.
