Melania Trump may permanently stay in Trump Tower and not move to White House: report
First Lady Melania Trump and son Barron Trump have so far stayed in New York City instead of moving into the White House with President Donald Trump, and apparently that might be a permanent arrangement.
One of Us Weekly’s sources claims that the White House “will reevaluate toward the end of the school year if they will keep this arrangement or if Melania and Barron will move to Washington,” although the source cautions that things could “go either way right now.”
According to the source, the Trump family seems to like the current arrangement, as the “the fiercely independent Donald” seems to like having his space.
As Us Weekly notes, Trump told ABC News’s David Muir that he didn’t feel lonely without Melania and Barron around because it enabled him to “work longer.”
The cost to U.S. taxpayers of keeping Melania and Barron safe during their stay in Trump Tower will likely make the Trumps the most expensive First Family to protect in American history, as some officials in New York City have claimed that it will cost taxpayers $1 million a day to have them stay in Manhattan.
