Another "banned from" postGot banned from r/natureismetal (self.subredditcancer)

I was banned temporarily (3 days) for accidentally reposting (of course the mods did not believe me) and breaking one of the new rules (again accidental).

This ban isn't the issue here, though.

When I messaged the mods that it has been 3 days, I was banned AGAIN with NO EXPLANATION, for a week, and in addition I was muted for 3 days, so cannot message the mods.

So I have no way of fighting the ban and no idea why it's been suddenly extended.

Whenever I get banned somewhere, I never reply back, It's always going to be a lose-lose situation for you.

At least it's not a perma-ban.

That's pretty much the standard behavior of your typical powertripping reddit mod. Don't worry, if you knew how bad their lives were in actuality, you would feel quite sorry for them.

Hey, mod in question that banned him. He was initially banned (3 days) for reposting a post that broke our rules and was removed hours prior.

He commented on this removed post before posting the content again himself.

When banned, he asked for a reason and proof that he had reposted, which was supplied along with a link to his comment on that post.

He then had the brilliant idea to claim ignorance.

He also constantly begs to be a moderator on the subreddit and spams tens of posts daily.

    I wouldn't consider what happened harassment. The only thing I did was to try and get any sort of explanation behind the extended 7 day ban (NOT the original 3 day ban) and nobody actually did this.

    If you just explained why, or didn't extend the ban, nothing would have happened. It's not like I did anything to cause the 7 day ban.

    Also, I requested for mod position TWICE. Not constantly. Stop slandering.

    Finally, I've posted my own screenshots of the original 3-day ban already, and that's not the issue here, so no point in you posting it again.

    Modmail the admins to have them ignore you and your issues is the next step.

    I taunt them. I never read comment replies through my inbox, but I occasionally go through my messages. It's not like I can't just dump this account for another curated one and then make another alt. I can use public wifi and a different browser.n It's pointless except to narcissists who want to have a public profile for their many fans to adore.

    A little bird told me that Reddit admins are a pain in the ass to actually get in touch with for moderators.

    So I hear, 9 times out of 10 they are not cooperative about dishing out IP bans. Which is good, I think.

    You have to look with objective eyes on what you posted and re-evaluate if the ban was warranted or not.

    For example, I got unbanned once after explainitg the situation.

    In my opinion /r/natureismetal gained new popularity and has more posters than mods so it is understandable they act a bit rauncy at the moment.

    To say it's always a lose-lose isn't right.

    It's possible to argue your way out of it, it's just that it only happens like 1% of the time.

    Mods tend to let the power go to their heads, just like cops... and if it's a big community being a moderator has actually taken a toll on their personal life/they never had much of one anyway.

    I'd never post there again. Obviously your contribution isn't welcome. There is NO reliable way to check for reposts short of looking through every single submission in the subreddit and having good memory to boot.

    Temporary bans automatically expire at the end of their set period, no need to message the mods about them. That being said, it does seem very weird. Can you post the screenshots of the conversation?

    Reddit corporate really needs to pull their collective heads out of their asses and realize these little dictator mods are seriously fucking up a lot of subreddits.
