Admins doing nothing about it as it fits their political agenda are digging reddit's grave, it's clearly against general rules (coordinated astroturfing), but hey, /u/kn0thing is an anchor baby so there's that

member digg

this is reverse tho cuz digg was ruined by rw trolls

I've heard about David Brock apparently funding Shareblue with forty million dollars. It's supposedly CTR 2.0.

If this is true, it's already taken effect.

This guy gets it

There's a reason they call it the CTRL-Left.

Yeah there's a new trump sub every fucking day and it's always by people who have moderated a couple dozen subs.

The powermods of reddit - a handul of users who control the narrative of 100s of popular subs - will be the downfall of reddit, as they alienate the majority of the userbase.

Honestly I've tried man. I've tried getting in on a default sub and it's fucking hard.

Digg didn't exactly have MODs, but Powerusers controlling the information flow instead of it happening organically is what killed that website entirely.

Wikipedia does too, I tried volunteer editing it but it's run by CTRish types

CTR recently got 40 million.

It's called "ShareBlue", now. Here's a link to their creepy mission statement memo.

"Serial missinformers and propagandists will be punished and halted."

Seeing a lot of /r/worldnews anti-trump postings making front page from users less than a month old.

How could this possibly backfire?

They've switched tactics (changing from MSM control to internet/social media control), but the strategy remains: attempting to control people.

Gotta consider reddit demographics and the fact that the Left has an insatiable need to control everything.

Reddit demographics are anti-Trump, sure, but it's still impossible for a subreddit with <5000 subscribers to frontpage without brigading. That 4 different ones, all coincidentally anti-Trump, managed to do it within 4 hours of each other strongly indicates an organized effort to upvote those threads.

You're right.

It's been going for a while, started with bidenbro subreddit, now they went with daily new sub building a 'network'

Started with ets.

ETS took a while to actually take off, bidenbro was one of the 3h old subreddits with 5k upvotes out of a sudden (not saying CTR had nothing to do with ets, but it seemed bit more believable)

Yeah. Hadn't thought of that

Yes it was changed. Also The_Donald is the only big one... I guess us conservatives do not need to spam subreddits just because we oppose someone, neither do we have the need to cry over feefees like certain mods and admins do.

Admins are actively spreading propaganda right now.

Typical fascist behavior. They feel if they can dominate Reddit's front page, they can control the narrative.

Is there an organized effort? Yes. Who is organizing it? Maybe nobody or Shareblue, but helped by the admins. Does it matter? Not to me.

As a user and consumer of content on Reddit it seems like you would care how that content is delivered to you. Especially considering Reddit admins will soon begin curating user profiles to better deliver content "relevant to your interests"

I do. It's why I subscribe to subreddits.

The majority of popular subreddits have been taken over by a small handful of powermods. Your content will be filtered by a third party, unbeknownst to you.

I do not care about the popular subreddits, though. I almost universally avoid them.

I didn't see you absolute retards complaining when SAVE_BRENDAN, THE_BRENDAN, THE_DENNIS, MR_TRUMP, HILLARYFORPRISON etc reached /r/all when they were tiny.

Fucking suck it up: casual people who use reddit (not you serious neet losers) hate Trump and will upvote anti-trump bullshit. It's not that big a surprise at all, reddit is full of normal people who dont wake up fueled entirely by hate and a tendency to agenda post.

If you want proof that people hate Trump look at the fucking protests everywhere. He won, we'll suck it up. We hate him, you suck it up. Not everything is a conspiracy and if it is then I want to see some evidence that's not meaningless dick waving hot air from you.

Also, Reddits source code is available for free, make your own version and fuck off if you don't like it or go to voat which already has fucksticks like you.

Hey fucktard.

Those are singular subreddits for one thing. There aren't 10 different /r/The_Brendan or TheDennis subreddits m8

Those are one subreddit getting their posts to the top.

Not like trumpget, impeedtrump, trumpblahblah, trumpforjail.

Those all with less than 5K subs.

The ones you mentioned are actual communities.

Let me put it to you in terms you can understand. For a bunch of ubermensch white nationalists who claim to be IQ toppers youre phenomenally dumb.

  1. There is a lot of difference between trumpget, impeachtrump, trumpforprison. They're run by mostly different people, started at different times, are about different things. Why should fucking Trump supporters be allowed to spread their tentacles everywhere (/r/conspiracy, /r/subredditcancer, /r/undelete, /r/wikileaks, /r/H4P, KiA, TiA, /r/conservative) but anti-Trump subs can't? What kind of logic is that? There are different anti-Trump subs for the same reason there are different Trump subs - people can create communities easily.

  2. Even assuming you disregard #1, there are enough "clones" of T_D: save_brendan, the_brendan, the_dennis, the_schulz etc which are all massive circlejerks around one man like T_D is. These communities that jerk around one person are not really different

  3. Have you ever heard of the bandwagoning effect? People submit something > It gets upvoted initially > It goes to some sub #300 level /r/all rank > Gets upvoted more and more and more until It makes it to top 20 /r/all.

I can guess with reasonable confidence that this (420p, 2 hours ago), or this will make it into the top 50 of /r/all at least. You know why? It's because they have a high number of upvotes in a short period of time.

Which is the same thing that happened to these anti-trump subs. Its the basic philosophy behind /r/all, if something is popular enough within the sub and the sub itself doesn't feature too much on /r/all then that post will make it to /r/all. Variables in this include the rate of getting votes (votes/time), and how well posts from other subs are doing.

  1. And one of the ways communities gain subscribers is by featuring on /r/all, and these subscribers will upvote everything in the sub and the cycle continues.

You're fucking whining because its happening in a manner that displeases you. Fucking trumptards are happy as long as /r/all is windowdressed to their liking, but god forbid there's some blowback.

Then the triggering will be too intense and you will impotently downvote anyone who calls you out on it. Fuck yourselves faggots

Shout out to all the BTFO pedes who feel bullied and threatened by scary scary words. You never cease to amaze me. I thought you people believed in protection of controversial speech? Or is that just like... A self serving double standard, man?

Trumptards are literally the dumbest group of people I've seen
