I was watching the news with my sister's family and David was telling a story. He started it about Trump and the immigration problems going on right now and once the lady speaker started telling a story about a man who was a translator overseas for the US Gov., the picture went away and eventually her voice was slowly turned down to completely cut off. David showed back up and continued with a completely different story. He didn't tell what happened with that story and it seemed like 10 minutes later, they told the same story with a different script.

This is silencing and I'd like an answer from ABC about what happened. (And the full story as well...)

This did not happen. I watched the whole thing after work. The entire newscast was a negative tone about Trump and his policies.

I can confirm the first part, as I was watching the broadcast on the east coast, but I started cooking and didn't see it come back up with a different script before jeopardy.

I skimmed through the episode they have on their site, nothing like what I seen live last night. Middle of a story then cut back to the studio to start another one on top of it.

It's possible the broadcast was redone live for other time zones and the problem that occurred in the east was corrected .

Well, as far as "liberal media" ABC is probably closest, since it's owned by Disney, which has ties with Apple (Steve Jobs), Warren Buffet, etc. Buffet actually owns tons of newspapers, but he, unlike a lot of billionaire newspaper owners, actually allows them to work without interference.

Do you remember all those insane accusations that the conservatives were making when Obama was elected? How everyone that disagreed with him were jumping at every single chance to create a correlation between him and socialism? Please don't turn into that. Do you really think that IF the Trump administration was capable of creating media blackouts, that they would use it to sensor a story about a translator overseas, and then let ABC continue on as normal? Trump is doing a lot of stupid things, we need to concentrate on those, not the conspiracy theories.

OP didn't say anything about Trump so I'm not sure why you're bringing it up. ABC may have their own reasons for blocking a story. I agree it could have been a technical problem but according to OP, ABC changed the story at the end of the program.

Okay, this is weird, but they repeated this on my local morning news and the same thing happened. The local anchors seemed a tad confused, like, they knew the clip would just end so they had to awkwardly cover it by thanking the reporter.
