Is there any hope for our future? How do you guys cope with what's happened in just 1 week? (self.EnoughTrumpSpam)

I apologize if this counts as spam, but I am genuinely concerned for the well-being of our citizens. Things are obviously going downhill and the warning signs are starting to form. I know people who literally cry every day something awful has happened since his presidency and it just terrifies me knowing that people I love are personally affected by the choices he is making. Is there any hope here? How can we go about our daily lives without being scared? I'm asking for the comfort of those I love, because my "everything will be okay" shtick isn't exactly making a good case for itself so far. Again, apologize if this is spam, but I would like to see how you all feel about the future of this country and how we are supposed to feel safe anymore.

You didn't post spam. You're simply worried just like the rest of us. This sub is a direct contradiction to the fuckery of T_D, as well as a place to share facts and dispel the bullshit.

We're scared, worried, sad, mortified...you name it. Just take a long look at what is going on here and you'll quickly get a pulse of how we all feel.

Anytime I personally feel down, I stand up and recite to myself that it's not time to mourn, but to put on your boots and get busy making shit better.

We are the new Tea Party. What inflamed those people now fills us with the same fire. We have to do what they did. VOTE. VOTE. VOTE. And not just for the president. For everything and everyone. Go to your local elections. Get involved.

Just think, if we do what the Tea Party did, and with our numbers, not only could we return the favor in 4 years, but even better, possibly putting a lot of these people in jail (That's a pipe dream, but I'm hopeful).

Ever see Mr. Rogers? He used to say that when he would see scary things in the news as a child his mother would tell him to look for the helpers, there will always be people helping.
