If you play anything older than 5 years, you'll find plenty of homophobic, transphobic, racist, sexist and hateful in general games. Even now it's hard to find a game that's not at least one of these things.

Indeed, I did miss it. I assumed it was black trans lesbians who did this. I'd say it's a fairly educated guess, as it seems to represent 80% of the population.

Cheers for this thread. i think ill pass on this game then. i don't need another gmae where the dev takes the moral high ground and pushes a agenda. This tokenism is really gaining ground latley, can;t just have a nice old wholesome game, everything needs to play a angle.

To clarify for potential buyers, racial identity and homosexuality (and trans issues) are a miniscule part of this game. The characters basically don't discuss these issues, let alone wax poetic on the virtues of minority identities. The plot doesn't have anything to do with this stuff. The only sense in which there is an "agenda" is that a number of the characters are either non-while or non-straight (and/or are married), and are not condemned for this. It's such a small part of the game that I suspect that many people with mild to moderate objections to homosexuality and racial minorities and social justice issues might nonetheless be able to enjoy it just fine!

I suppose that the people that make this kind of accusation isn´t aware that in sci-fi is wondering about this kind of things for decades. For example in the 70s Joe Haldeman wrote about an entire homosexual civilization of humans, Isaac Asimov wrote about an extraterrestrial civilization that had 3 different genders. In the meantime the original Star wars and Star Trek suggested the existence of sexual and emotional relationships between different species.

Sci-fi is about imaging the future, if you cannot play in your head with that maybe the problem is that you are not fitted for Science fiction.

I mean, sure, if I started making games I guess that would be my 'agenda' too. Making games with characters I enjoy doesn't strike me as being a personal attack against everyone else who's already doing their thing. Just go play literally any other game if you can't stomach this.
