There was someone who got down voted in a previous thread for suggesting we play better when Ibrahimovic isn't in the team because we create chances for more players (meaning we're less focused on getting the ball to Ibra).

I don't think it's as black and white as that because the other players are getting chances, they just aren't finishing them but at the same time we're creating multiple chances for everyone not just Ibra. It's a difficult one because until we play more quality teams without Ibrahimovic we won't know. However it's a good thing because if something was to happen to Ibrahimovic (injury) it wouldn't be the end of the season for us.

Personally feel that if we continue to play with Mkhi Martial and Ibra we'd score more goals consistently. Hope Jose doesn't start swapping and changing next week though.

Exactly this, i wouldn't suggest Ibra being out, just that we don't fight to get every single ball to him alone, I think this may be partially the reason we haven't seen him have a shot as much in the last couple of games, and instead he's layed it off so other players can create. Once we're firing on all cylinders it's going to be pure suffering for opponents, I was gonna say I can't wait, but already the spirit we have now is something i've missed so much.

I think Jose is also testing our depth as wellt, while he's had the chance, but you're also right (imo) when hoping he doesn't do that midweek, I don't think he will, with the exception of starting Mkhi and Martial maybe.

What got me yesterday was i really felt like we played a little poorly in both halves which is understandable with the squad that was on the field, yet the difference between yesterday and the last few months was being so clinical in front of goal (even then we missed 1 or 2 chances), i don't like to dwell on the past but to think where we could be right now in the League if we put away half of the chances we missed is crazy, hopefully we start burying most chances in front of goal

You can bring in individual players to add to the squad, it's not like we need or are looking at overhauling the team, at least i'd be very very surprised if that was in Jose's plans.

So these players we have are progressing together, they have been since LvG introduced them.

Don't know where you got 8 assists from from Ibra? He has 5, still impressive. Rooney has 10 assists
