I'm talking about the ignorance of people who refuse to listen to logic, reason, or facts and yet still go around trying to spread there misinformation. Like this guy that was linked on this subreddit.He made a post in a sub about debating the theory of evolution, yet he clearly has no intent on giving the opposing viewpoint any chance and there is nothing that you could tell him that could change his belief.

I must confess i often willfully come across stuff like this, and proceed to read through it even though it just irritates me.

My mother for example, says evolution is false because no monkey has turned into a human. And if i try to explain to her why, she just doesn't want to listen, ignores me or straight up says she doesn't care. How can you base your belief on not caring?

She also thinks anything that's called a "chemical" is dangerous.

Sorry if this post came out as a sort of rant, and i don't know if it's my place to judge as i by no stretch of my imagination am an expert in any scientific area, but i can't help it.

So, how do you deal with stupidity, be it irl or on the internet?

Also, i know this has become a meme at this point, but sorry if i made any mistakes as english is not my first language. I just felt i had to mention it because it might come across as hypocrisy if i did make a silly mistake in a post where i call people ignorant.
