The New York Taxi Drivers Alliance on Saturday said it would not make any pickups from John F. Kennedy International Airport after two Iraqi travelers were detained trying to enter the U.S. following President Trump's immigration ban.
The official Twitter for the alliance tweeted: "NO PICKUPS at JFK Airport 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today. Drivers stand in solidarity with thousands protesting inhumane and unconstitutional Muslim Ban."

Two Iraqi refugees were detained at the New York airport on Friday and filed a writ of habeas corpus seeking to be released. One detainee was released early Saturday afternoon.
The detainment followed an executive order from Trump banning entry to individuals from seven predominantly Muslim nations for 90 days.
Trump on Friday signed an executive order that he said would provide a thorough vetting of refugees to ensure that "radical Islamic terrorists" cannot get into the U.S.
Trump's order indefinitely blocks refugees from war-torn Syria and suspends all refugee admissions for 120 days while the administration determines which countries pose the least risk.
