Arsenal fan coming in piece:

Im genuinely curious what your thoughts are on Welbeck at this point. Do you miss him? Are you angry he was sold? Do you not really care? Just wondering what the general opinion is over here.

Was annoyed at first as I liked him.

His injuries at Arsenal and the acquisition of Martial have made me not miss him at all. Plus Rashford coming on the scene

We replaced him with better players, both from the youth team and from purchases.

I genuinely don't feel any strong emotion either way about Welbeck...

Firstly I have no regrets what so ever for him being sold.

He was a good hard working player for united. But as a put it in another thread, he was always a "almost player" he would score a few here and there and then just go dry for ages.

I always said he would do well though playing for a smaller club and I was right.

I loved Welbeck when he was at the club, because he has the capacity for brilliance as you saw today. However, if we didn't sell him, Rashford may not have been called up to the first team yet, so I'm not as disappointed as I was at the time he was sold.

Saddened, at the time. I wouldn't go so far as to say I miss him but I thought that selling him at the time represented a change in the club's values and identity, plus it would've been nice to have one of our academy boys shine for the club. Thankfully, Rashford's emergence has eased those worries.

I was quite sad but I can say that Rashford is twice the player Welbeck is, and with him still here, Rash would not get a chance.
