This page displays the mempool size in number of transactions and kilo bytes. The data is generated from the data of my full node. Note that in bitcoin there is no global mempool, so the data can be biased. It may also sporadically clear, e.g., when I reboot my node. The data is updated every minute. The idea is based on bitcoinqueue.com.
The data is seperated into different fee levels given in satoshi per bytes. Transactions with less than 5 satoshi per bytes are not included in my statistics. The lowest colored stripe is for transactions with 5–10 satoshi per byte. Higher fee transactions are stacked on top of it. Since miners prefer high fee transactions, a new block usually only removes the top 1000 kB from the queue. If a colored stripe persists over several hours without getting smaller, this means that transactions paying this amount of fee are not confirmed during this time, because there are higher paying transactions that take precedence.
