Mmm. I'd say that it doesn't promote violence any more than /r/OSHA does. Many links contain violence, sure, but we are all about carefully ensuring our users do not violate the reddit TOS.

Start by visiting /r/privacy to brush up on how to keep your information secure. If you feel like it is necissary, there are programs you can use to overwrite your post history on reddit as well- that sub would be the place to ask. Worst case scenario, a new reddit account is free.

If you feel like you might be threatened in person, you are welcome to message the mods at /r/militant. If you give us your general region, we can help you look for antifascist groups in your area to get in touch with to defend you.

If anyone begins to harass you, don't hesitate to file a police report or anonymous tip to the FBI. Law enforcement takes this sort of thing very seriously- and even if you're not a believer in the system, there's no shame in taking advantage of it to protect yourself.

Keep in mind that nothing is likely to happen at all. I'm on the list too, and I haven't gotten a single love letter from the scumbags. Unless you're in the habit of posting your address on reddit, there's probably nothing to worry about.
