Nothing says 'the peak of humanity' like gross incompetence, bumbling around aimlessly, and resorting to cannibalism because you're too busy bickering about which not-Jerusalem city you should conquer for yourself instead of doing what you're supposed to do and conquer Jerusalem.

They should do that again. Helps weed out the over zealous idiots.

the incompetent, bumbling, cannibalism part. Not the conquering cities of brown people part.

For anyone that had to Google this like I did, "Deus vult" is the newest catchphrase that alt-righters and Trumpoids are spouting.

It actually used to be an ironic Crusader Kings meme... I liked it then. Damn fashs appropriating my memes.

Why couldn't they have appropriated the Karlings? I already hate the Karlings.

I thought the same thing about removing kebab. All I wanted to do was play alt-history where the Byzantines rise to a global power once more. It turns out that alt-right people want to make that a reality.

Yeah, tired of gamers insisting every "lol it's just an ironic nazi/confederates win scenario" moment in these games is just one big joak. Every other week in those gaming subreddits, it's always the same thing: someone's after-action report of them being nazi germany or CSA and how they enslave or genocide billions of people and everyone pats them on the back for it.

I don't think I've once see someone do a "Africa takes over the world and enslaves white people" AAR. And I imagine if someone has done it, it was very unpopular with a lot of gamers whining about it.

I disagree on this one, been part of the ck2 community for ~4years and they are generally pretty antifascism/racism because they are all history nerds.

Sometimes metareddit takes a hardline ironic jokes don't exist stance. It's a bit odd, but their heart is in the right place.

"Africa takes over the world and enslaves white people"

I will admit happily that I played as the Zulu's in the old Total Realism mod for Civ IV and brought enlightenment to whitey. Who due to the usual infighting had gotten nowhere tech wise, and so my tanks rolled over them.

It's a shame too because over at /r/forhonor us knight players are bringing back the Deus vult memes with style, but now the right is going off on one with it.

Ffs they ruin everything.

yep. /r/mountandblade has similar stuff involving deus vult-esque ironic memes, yet now fucking fashies are making them taboo through their reverse Midas touch.

[–]fuckyou2258 11 ポイント12 ポイント  (3子コメント)

Yep.

I'm into pretty much any medieval game you can think of and these dumb fucks are ruining my Swadia memes and my crusading.

At least I've still got my butter.

I guessed that. The Crusades were never that great to begin with, but this war cry used by the neonazis marks a new low.
