It's debatable whether people assaulting Trump supporters is really what prompted him to make those remarks. I mean, the last one is about a protester who was assaulted by a supporter of his...but I get that blaming the other side for starting it is more characteristic of Trump and his followers.
It's also more characteristic of a child.

Yes, and I clearly stated that he probably shouldn't have been hit for his words. BUT, that doesn't mean he is allowed to spew any shit he wants, but no one else is allowed to speak or act against his words, in a non violent way of course.
This is my problem with how the right views free speech. They view it as "it grants the right to say unpopular things and no one can do or say anything about it or they are against free speech". That is untrue.
No government can act against speech, other private citizens are allowed to call this guy a neo-Nazi racist POS all we want, we can drown out his voice with our own if we wish, that is our right to voice our speech too. Conversely, he is allowed to try and drown out what we are saying as well, no matter how unpopular. That's free speech in action because it's 2 parties each voicing their own opinions, even if they are trying to shut the other one up.
That being said violence is never the answer. He should not have been struck.
