I'm afraid that at least one recurring divide will be hard to overcome. That I'd define as "socialistic identity politics vs anarcho-individualism".
Hard to work with, even around, people who treat you like a social category, labeling you accordingly with your skin complexion, age, gender, dressing ethics...
We can't become persons where we are socially-constrained to be impersons.
Also the whole idea of unity sounds like one aspect fascism to me. Also widely advocated by Trump and Bush in their rhetoric.
