Have you recently read an upvoted Reddit comment that was bigoted, creepy, misogynistic, transphobic, racist, homophobic, or just reeking of unexamined, toxic privilege? Of course you have! Post it here.
 
1. RULE X: SRS is a circlequeef and interrupting the circlequeef is an easy way to get banned. Do not say a comment is "not that bad". Do not defend linked comments. Do not play Devil's Advocate. Do not attempt to start a debate. This list is not exhaustive. You will not get a warning.
This is our space to vent amongst like-minded people. We will not tolerate rude interruptions. Also, you are not entitled to "explanations" just because you come across our sub.
2. ShitRedditSays is not a downvote brigade. Do not downvote any comments in the threads linked from here! Pretend the rest of Reddit is a museum of poop. Don't touch the poop. (Commenting in linked threads is fine.)
3. No "ironic" or "satirical" use of slurs.
4. No violent rhetoric.
5. To our readers: consider this entire sub to be labelled with one gigantic trigger warning.

HOW TO POST
 
1. Only submit horrible comments that have been upvoted above a net score of +20. If a thread has multiple shitty comments, feel free to compile them in an effortpost.
2. Focus on the large, mainstream subreddits. Low-hanging fruit from obvious hate groups, circlejerks, troll subreddits, and the like can be submitted to the weekly low-hanging fruit megathread located at the top of the sub.
3. Titles should be direct quotes of comments (NO EDITORIALIZING) followed by the number of total votes in brackets like this: [+30]. (Effortpost titles can be anything.)
4. Submissions must be the direct permalink to the comment. If the comment you're linking to requires some context, just add ?context=x to the URL, where x is the number of parent comments you want displayed.
5. Don't link to threads you're involved in, or to shit you just disagree with
6. Don't submit questions or "discussions" about feminism, social justice, etc. Check the sidebar for appropriate discussion subs in the Fempire.
7. Don't submit [META] posts without contacting the mods first.

I saw a pretty good post about how the "sphere of free speech" aka tolerance is not all-inclusive as the name would suggest, but by nature must completely dissociate itself from, exclude, and condemn intolerance.
Intolerance by nature seeks to break down the institutions of freedom. To allow them to infiltrate those structures under the guise of "free speech" and use those very protections to dismantle the structure is nonsensical.
Intolerance is fire. Best case scenario, it stays contained and will smother itself out. If you allow it into unburnt territory, the only alternative outcome is its spread. Excluding intolerance is the BEST case outcome.
You can't attempt to articulate WHY intolerance is unreasonable because to articulate why is to open intolerance to the possibility of reason.
Basically, you're ethically obligated to punch every Nazi in the face.

Violence is a last resort, for our own good. If you take it too far, battery can be a felony, and in most states, felons either temporarily or permanently lose their right to vote. (I don't know about people convicted of misdemeanors - I don't think they do). The world is better served by us being out of jail and working for change.
Violence, while it feels good, and I have to admit, is sorely deserved, doesn't convince people they're wrong. It just convinces them to go underground again so the rest of the world can pretend that there isn't a problem, like they used to. It also hijacks the focus (both social and media focus), taking it away from the lowlifes who need to be focused on and fought, and putting it on us instead. We shouldn't be giving them the tools they need to shut us down and make us look like the villains. They're good at that. All the anti-SJW bullshit that has grown over the years will show you they're good at deflecting attention.
