Do both of them play in a similar position? I am a big fan of Pereira, based on the few videos I've seen of him, and would hate to see him leave us permanently. I was really hoping to see him get games under LVG but that unfortunately never happened.

But if both of them play in the same position, then I suppose United would stick w/ Gomes right, since he seems to have a higher upside and is English? I know Gomes is like 4 years younger to Pereira, but I'd hate to see one's development stunted in their favoured position because of the other.
