I work in a medical field. When it comes to public health, Trump is willfully ignorant at best and a danger to the public at worst. Trump is the enemy of good science.

He has ranted about vaccines causing autism and that no one knows what's in them, despite the fact that this link has been widely disproven as fraud and that vaccines are thoroughly and extensively studied. Vaccine schedules are evaluated for safety. It's clear that Trump has no idea what goes into getting a safe vaccine approved for use, and yet he is OK with needlessly degrading the public' trust in our country's health professionals and even endangering the public if people were to stop getting vaccines.

His angry, extreme response to the Ebola outbreak in 2014 again showed that he is living in a fantasy world. The US took appropriate precautionary measures and the worldwide response was very successful at stopping the outbreak. But if Trump had had his way, the US would not have intervened and the outbreak probably would have gotten far worse. Let's all keep our fingers crossed that no epidemic pops up while Trump is in office.

Worst of all is his aggressive war on climate change research. He is already trying to silence and hide good science from being shared with the public who funds it. There is an overwhelming amount of evidence but he refuses to see the light, and our kids and grandkids will pay the price.

His flagrant disregard for the sciences coupled with the fact that he is a climate change "skeptic".
