China Oceanwide Consortium Nears Deal to Buy International Data Group
Consortium to pay less than $1 billion for IDG and deal could be announced in coming days
A Chinese consortium led by China Oceanwide Holdings Group Co. is nearing a deal to purchase International Data Group Inc., the data and marketing firm that also runs venture-capital firm IDG Ventures, according to people familiar with the matter.
The deal could be announced in the coming days, the people said. The Oceanwide consortium is paying less than $1 billion for International Data Group, one of the people said.
