The bounty hunting thread from r/altright is fine and not inciting violence but canipunchnazis.com has gone too far.

/r/nba sucks now that they've suddenly decided to enact "no poltical posts". I use nba as my primary basketball news source and I had to find out like 10 hours later on ESPN that Pop talked Trump and the Women's March.

Basically, they are going to mod that sub like r/nfl and would rather pretend that sports and politics aren't intertwined. I'm guessing the mods were tired of cleaning up trash when t_d types would argue.

It's pretty apparent at this point that reddit as a company cares more about protecting the free speech of the far right than anything else. Despite some abhorrent content coming from far right subs including actual bounty hunting of black bloc the only bans have been /r/leftwithsharpedge and can I punch nazis. Only one of those really deserved it.

I would probably roll my eyes at the can I punch nazis ban if the bounty hunting thread didn't exist, but the fact that it does exist and the reddit admins have said it doesn't break any rules really bothers me. Being spineless or not wanting to ban these hate subs to not lose clicks is one thing, but this looks a lot more like a reddit endorsement to me.

yep, I'm done with this. It's been fun making fun of nazis with y'all, but I really think it's best for me to stop dicking around on reddit and pursue other priorities in life.

Like I said the /r/leftwithsharpedge ban doesn't really bother me and in a vacuum the Can I punch Nazis ban doesn't either. It's both of those bans combined with the fact that even worse far right subs are being allowed by admins.

Leftwithsharpedge deserved its ban. That sub was only created in response to leftwithoutedge, and the mods there were making youtube songs about how they wanted to kill one of the mods of leftwithoutedge. T_D and Alt Right should obviously be banned but don't defend subs like SharpEdge.
