I've found it at points to be down right maddening to see evidence of American gynocentrism everywhere I look but then be unable to convince others of it. It has often made me question my own sanity, reasoning, and biases.
This giant women's rights protest sort of felt like a nail in the coffin of the hope for male rights and masculine values to ever be considered again within my lifetime. Reading about all of these ladies bragging about how massive it was kept making me feel worse and worse about it. "It was the biggest protest in US history!"
Add to it that the only real concrete concerns as far as I can tell that they were protesting about were PP defunding and possible change in row v wade. Two tiny issues that I couldn't give two shits about for or against. It just honestly felt insulting compared to the laundry list of objectively worse problems this country is experiencing...
Problems that interestingly enough, many of these new age liberal men and women acknowledge as more important than PP row v wade (ex. War on drugs, Middle East drone strikes, Guantanamo bay, global warming, outsourcing, 1% wealth gap, the suicide epidemic, the opioid epidemic, the homeless epidemic, the failing health care system...). Even if you don't believe in some of these, the point is they do, and many realize they are more important than women's rights (though some obviously don't).
That's when it hit me. This is a smoking gun. Their massive over-reaction to two relatively speaking tiny problems compared to the laundry list of other issues (that they acknowledge) is very hard to ignore proof that this country as a whole has a major gender bias.
Despite all these issues, the only time that we as a country have been able to mobilize such a massive force has been for some comparatively irrelevant women's issues. It's objective proof that this country prioritized women's issues over all else. It's proof of how bizarrely self-centered feminists are that they would only ever stand up to fight for a self serving interest and somehow still pat themselves on the back while doing it.
When they ask for power they claim they have none. Here they wanted to show their power and they did. Now it's out there for all to see.
Probably won't change shit knowing about it, but at least it's nice to know you're not crazy.
TLDR: females claim no cultural female bias, but then brag about big marches for tiny female problems, end up proving cultural female bias.
