Bitter taste after 3 rivals dropped points but I'm incredibly glad we battled and came away with something after sputtering around for 90 minutes.

Why are we playing on Thursday next!?

Usually cup matches are played on Tuesday / Wednesday.

Think it was meant to be tuesday but was changed because Hull were already scheduled for the late tv game on sunday v Chelsea.

The third positive is we're back to nicking goals in Fergie Time. >_>

Let's be honest, the last two seasons I don't think many of us held much hope as a game ticked into the 95th minute and we saw Daley Blind play it back to De Gea from the opposition's penalty area. ¬_¬

Obviously, would be nicer if it was a Fergie time goal to win it 2-1. But I'll take it.

Match aside, I'm still confident in the team. It's looking good, entertaining to watch. I'm confident we'll hit top four by the end of the season, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how well we do in the three cups. I don't even want to think about next season just yet, but if I had to I'd say we're in a good place to kick on to even better things considering this is Mou's first season. =D

Shame as 3 teams above us dropped points but we definitely deserved something from the game. They got lucky, they barely threatened and managed to get an OG. Mata just HAS to bury that sitter. If we scored in the 1st half it's a different game. TBH i dont know how we didnt score.

Another day and we win this comfortably but wasn't to be.

Seriously, before Rooney's strike, when was the last time we converted from a free kick directly (not counting cross > header goals)?

We gotta start finishing, we just gotta

Stoke have mugged us of good and proper this season. They somehow got 2 points against us when we should have scored about 12 against them and got all 6.

Hard done by the early own goal and on one hand I'm happy since we created more than enough chances to put the game away but on the other hand we really should've finished at least 2 of those. I'm so happy that Wazza finally got 250 he more than deserves it. Looking at the big picture this draw hurts since we missed a valuable chance to close the gap on 4 teams and I definitely agree that we are not scoring enough goals

Frustrating result when looking at the points aspect. We could have leaped over city. But it was a hard fight with us getting many chances. Wasn't too happy with clatts decisions. But we fought hard and got a point. Can't wait for our strikers to be hitting the back of the net with the many chances we create. I will say I wasn't too happy with some of joses decisions on subs. I think felli and Mikhi were two of our better players till they came off. Also think we should have put mikhi at lb and taken blind off for one of the subs. We didn't fully need 4 at the back with the amount of pressure we had and he could have got forward and helped a lot in attack.

I feel like Jose made some mistakes with his subs, i felt like Mata should have been the first to come off instead of Fellaini, he had played well and was linking the play well. I also felt the Mkhi could have stayed on and could have gone to his LB role which he was done before, by swapping him for Blind we would have more presence overlapping on the left and would have stretched Stokes defense wider allowing for more opportunities.

I feel like Martial or Rashford need to be in the team at any one time as we seem to lack pace without them. Mkhitaryan is quick but doesn't rip defenses apart with it but glide through.

Glad for Wayne, that aside, i'm still pissed off, one at the conversion ratio we have... and two, this rule right here.

  1. The ball inside the field touches a person other than a player

If, when the ball is in play, it touches the referee or an assistant referee who is temporary on the field of play, play continues because the referee and the assistant referees are part of the match.

Clattenburg got in our way twice, the first time (just outside the box) was from a really decent moment of play, and could have led to a goal. How this rule stands i'll never know.

Why can't in those instances the ball be either a free kick, or.... in more questionable circumstances, a drop ball?

I know it relies a lot on who is at fault in the first place, which is a different beast in itself considering standard decisions can't be made these days, but it was blatantly just Clattenburg being in a bad position, he was stood right in the middle of the pitch near the penalty arc, as the ball was played across into the middle just outside the area, the ball hit him just as it was reaching our player (i forget who it was), the other time was just in the middle of the field, nothing major, but one of the instances really affected our build up.

It's never addressed.

Maybe someone has a more rational opinion on this, and can clear up that it's not bollocks, because I don't get it.

[–]Shutupcrime1337Ibrahimovic 0 ポイント1 ポイント  (1子コメント)

Because that would directly indicate the referee being at fault. This we can't have.

[–]SeasickSykes"Oh Alan Shearer was F%#king Dearer" 0 ポイント1 ポイント  (0子コメント)

Indeed it would, in some instances anyway, sometimes though, of course, it is the players fault, and in that scenario play should just continue.

I get your answer, on the other hand i'm curious, what type of answer was it?

Were you being more facetious, like, "don't be ridiculous, we can't have that, referees, admitting fault... that'll be the day", or more serious, like, "Nah, ref's admitting fault during play would be extremely hard to enforce, because it essentially could lead to discrepencies about their professionalism and questions as to bias towards a particular side."

I mean, it's probably both, i particularly fall on the side of "it's too difficult to enforce". But that doesn't mean it will stop getting on my nerves, I was screaming at Clattenberg when it hit him.

I'd also love to say we were lucky to get a point, but we were unlucky to drop two, i'm glad Chelsea face Arsenal and Liverpool next, there's dropped points there I reckon we can capitlise on there, hopefully anyway.
