            I find it odd that you mention that it isn't the Stoke it was, then go on to mention very typical "Stokey" players without considering the talent of players like Shaqiri and Arnie etc.

            The point stands that:

            A: The Britannia is still a really tough place to play both fans-wise and just design wise.

            B: Typical "Stokey" bastards like Shawcross, Adam, Whelan etc have been supplemented by very decent talents like Shaqiri and Arnautovic, only making them tougher.

            I'm not too disappointed in this result mainly because we 100% would have lost this any other of the past 3 seasons. We're slowly but surely seeing the team get over that issue we had with a lack of character.

                I'm not even THAT upset, to be honest.

                Frustrating match. Our finishing was poor, and that own goal was absolutely inexcusable. But we were without a doubt the better team, and dominated for the majority of the game. Rashford was a much-needed spark, Mkhi was incredible, Clattenburg was shit, and up until the very last minute I was still at the edge of my seat, confident that we would somehow put two in the net to put them away. It didn't work out this time, but even SAF lost games like this. I love watching this United squad, and top 4 is still very much within our grasp.

                If anybody here thought we were going to run the table for the remainder of the season, they were deluding themselves. We hadn't lost since early November, our pace was unsustainable. These things happen. Take a breath, have a few drinks, go to bed, move on. Nobody goes undefeated forever. We will improve our finishing. Other top 4 teams will drop points. We're a damn good football team. Relax. We're fine.

                I'm glad there are others focusing on the positives in the team, I think you're right on all your points. For me I've missed seeing the team staying competitive right to the end and playing some damn football. Mourinho has brought this team to life, we're not watching the lethargic football of the last 2 seasons anymore.

                  Disappointed but I don't think it was a 'shit' performance. Stoke away is always a tough match and they defended well. We failed to take a lot of chances to put the game to bed but it we still dominated and created chances. We're still consistently playing better than Liverpool, City and Arsenal at the moment.

                  So I get the disappointment and it we weren't at or best but it wasn't an 'absolutely shit performance' imo, far from it.

                                  Our players constantly go missing in games and it seems to be few and far between moments players leave their mark on the game then go missing in the games following. Very little consistency overall.

Liverpool lose at home to formerly 20th place Swansea and there will be points dropped between ManCity and Tottenham later, and United fail to capitalize once again. An own goal and dreadful passing throughout the match. Every time United tried to "attack" they looked slow and complacent, giving Stoke plenty of time to drop the entire team back and absorb. Why was it so hard to score? Well, if you allow a team to get all 11 players back behind the ball, it's going to be difficult to score. Even when Rashford and Lingard came on, there still wasn't any pace in the attack to catch Stoke on the back foot. The players look like they're still nursing a hangover from the night before the Liverpool match.

                                  I can't be satisfied with a point today. That's two games in a row now where we've wasted chances to win the game to go on to score late for a draw. Every time we get a chance to catch the teams ahead of us we bottle it and it's just not good enough. We need another goal scorer, someone who can get in around 15 goals in a season. If Ibrahimovic doesn't score we don't have anyone we can depend on consistently.

                                  I can't be sure if he's the answer but we have people turning up their noses at signing Griezmann when we've scored 33 goals in 22 games, with Zlatan getting almost half of them. It's time to figure out what our best set up is - if it's Martial and Mkhitaryan either side of Zlatan, Mata and Rashford or whoever, settle with them and if we still can't score goals we'll have to replace them. I have an attachment to all of our players and do not like to see them go, but you don't struggle for goals against more or less every team in the league without there being a serious problem.                                   Fellaini played really well but without Carrick to do the defensive work, Pogba had to play more deep and became invisible. We really should've played our strongest formation with the Pogba, Herrera and Carrick midfield as we couldn't penetrate at all with Pogba being more defensive rather than playmaking. We really needed Martial to start to penetrate that deep defence but I don't know why he didn't play. Rashford did well to emulate him when he came on.

                                  Stoke got a jammy goal and Man Utd had so much possession that Stoke had to park the bus 95% of the time. The only counter to that is either good dribbling or those long ball crosses in the box; we resorted to long balls.

                                  Overall fair play to Stoke getting a jammy goal then parking the bus most of the time as it is our own fault for not being able to finish. When people say a striker like Griezmann isn't needed in the summer transfer, just remember that we rely far too much on Ibra scoring everything, that our other players can't finish consistently, the key word being consistent. Sure Mata, Rooney, Mkhi can get a goal once in a while but we need someone with striking instinct. If we had that at the beginning of the season we would be top of the league no lie.

                                  I just wish we would score a goal or two in the first half. We dominate possession and create chances match after match but we always end up 0-1 before we put one in the back of the net.
