I am a medical student from the north. I've grown up with my fair share of rednecks and white trash and managed to get the hell out of there. went to college with a much more diverse crowd, and now in medical school, though we are predominantly caucasian, there is a good mix of ethnicity and religion.

I seriously cannot comprehend how Trump supporters view themselves. Classmates post all this pro-Trump shit on Facebook and it seriously makes them looks like a bunch of dumb rednecks who are afraid muslims are about to invade america force us all to bow down to Allah (which for some reason they think is some god of war). We have a good amount of muslims in our school, including professors, and they are all swell people. Hell, the guy who has one of, if not the best pathology review courses is muslim also. Im just very confused why the trump supporters put themselves on this pedestal of ignorance and just plain idiocracy. Ive even had chats with people who try to justify all this stuff trump says and I cannot comprehend it at all.

I go to the donald sub to look for answers and I see that people are seriously pro-registration and islam bans and criticizing every facet of the religion as some evil shit? so now youre telling me these guys are literal memes of the atheism sub and they cant wrap their heads around the fact that they look like a bunch of children. it just makes no sense that they cant realize the entire world is laughing at their idiocracy and we all think every republican is a complete retard now.

idk this shit really irks me because my classmates are gona go on to take care of people's lives and i honestly cant believe theyd have so much irrational hate and stupidity inside them.
