I was washing some dishes. My girlfriend at the time was sitting behind me at the table. She did not know that I could see her reflection in the window glass (the angles were such).
I suddenly noticed that she seemed to be steeling herself for something. Puffing up and such. A few seconds later she let loose a rant to me. We got into a big argument over nothing.
I realized that the whole thing was intentional. She was a spoiled brat who needed to throw a tantrum. She probably did something like that to her parents, got what she wanted etc. And now as an adult she needed to do the same once in a while, to get some steam out.
Never in my life have I thrown such a tantrum. But my sister did, lots of times. I now realize that each time she threw one of those tantrums, I had to be the adult and calm her down and be in charge so that nothing life-threatening happened.
From a very young age, males are conditioned to manage the situation (beta provide) when someone's throwing a tantrum. From a very young age, females are taught that throwing tantrums is an acceptable way to let out steam.
That's one of the ways betas get created.
