I understand Reddit has a special relationship with reposting.

Some people straight steal content and farm karma and should have their accounts banned. Some people straight steal content from like 8 hours ago (or less) and should also probably have their accounts banned.

Some people repost the same stuff we see several times a month and it annoys others but then some people never see it before and then somebody reposts the xkcd "lucky 10,000" and gets their own upvotes.

But this is a special sort of reposting. It's a reposter complaining about reposting, it certainly atleast deserves downvotes.

First off, each installment of civ is drastically different then the next and secondly, each DLC introduces a whole new world of things to do, just look at vanilla civ V to Civ V now with the DLC. Lastly, call of duty's DLC does nothing but give you a few more maps which are setup the same way and then redlined.

You could technically say the same for CoD. Different kinds of guns, a few different types of game modes, new "abilities" in BO3 and IW, etc. Changing the formula doesn't make it a new game. Pokemon is still just as guilty of being recycled as CoD. The core game is still the same. Thing is, at least in my opinion, there's nothing wrong with that. If someone feels there is something wrong with that, speaking with their wallet proves their point better than any amount of whining/reposting/karma whoring online.

I used to love CoD. IW was the first one that I've actually had zero desire to play after dumping about 20 hours into it. I gave it a chance but it just felt like a watered-down BO3 to me. I look forward to what comes out this year though. I hope that it's boots on the ground and restores my love for the series. I fear the worst, but I'm hopeful nonetheless.

What's the problem? I haven't really enjoyed a CoD title since MW2 but clearly a huge amount of people do. They don't have to buy the games but if they enjoy them and they want to pay for them, good on the developers for giving their audience what they want.

I know I'm no longer the audience that call of duty targets and that's fine, I'll spend my money on other games that I do want to play.

If you don't like CoD, the best part of life is you don't need to buy or play it. There's a small group of people that do enjoy the games which is who the games are made for. My friends and I all buy everyone of them because we enjoy them. I don't like playing any of your games but I'm not crying about it. Somehow you gamers have thought it was cool to bash games that don't live up to your standards when not every game needs too or cares to make hardcore gamers happy.

DAE think CoD sux? ecksdee. Give it a rest guy, CoD became genre defining for a reason and they try different elements in each new iteration (Wall running,RTS elements, Abilities/Ultimates, Setting etc.) Sometimes it doesn't pay off for them. CoD will probably never return to its heyday but it's not as bad as people make it out to be.

Where is the line there? I worked at GameStop when Advanced Warfare came out and people were complaining about the drones and exos, and aside from the strafe-dash, there's really nothing in that game that doesn't exist in some form.

I don't think Call of Duty gets enough credit for it's innovation... Supply drops, weapon variants, double-jump, and specialist abilities have definitely improved the experience in recent years. I just wish they would have kept deathstreaks, because no game of cod is complete without a new fist-sized hole in your drywall.
