Needham: "While some countries have either banned bitcoin or enacted prohibitive regulations, we note that the results appear to be the opposite of the intended effect: interest in bitcoin has skyrocketed in some countries that have banned bitcoin."

As a kid or teenager, just remember when your parents were banning you to do something. What's the first thing we were doing secretly behind their backs?

Several times in history banned things got more attention, increasing adoption etc, since the people knew those things will help with taxes and government surveillance.

Anyone who knows anything knew this already for if banning Bitcoin was effective this whole experiment would have been over long ago. Over time as more people come to this realization the BTC price will continue to rise.
