TFM's new content discussion the phases that man goes through after taking the Red Pill.
One of the hardest thing that men go through is the clinging towards something. TFM mentioned it in the Matrix of Tribal Identity and Coterie described it as Snapshots; basically men like to hold on to the perfect picture/thought regarding that thing he is most involved in, be it a woman, his children, religion, politics and yes, even MGTOW.
This is what's keeping a man from self-actualizing. He can't let go and it's understandable, because going off on your own is scary to some if not most men; you're basically "I'm responsible for my own decisions and my own shit." Hell, that's partly the reason why women are so clingy to their men/children/government. Being part of a group absolves you from owning up to your own shit.
I do think that when a mgtow let go of the label; he has taken that step of Self-Actualization. Examples are Colttaine, Raging Golden Eagle who don't necessarily call themselves mgtow anymore but they are effectively their own man. I don't necessarily think that people who stick around mgtow content haven't self-actualize, but I do think mgtows who only stick to mgtow content definitely hasn't self-actualize.
As a self-actualized man going his own way; you are secure and confident enough with yourself - gained through the hard work you put into building yourself up - that you understand mgtow does not rule your life; that you have your own critical views even when and especially when it doesn't agree with others be them mgtows or not; that you can calmly stand and listen to another's opposing point of view; and that you have other interests in life that you pursue and are passionately engage in.
