Poll: Trump approval rating hits new low hours before inauguration

The survey from Fox News showed that 37 percent of Americans approve of Trump ahead of his inauguration, while 54 percent do not.

Measuring the country’s mood just before Inauguration Day, 60 percent of Americans said “it’s everyone for themselves,” and 34 percent said “we’re all in this together.”

The poll comes at the tail end of a flurry of surveys that show Trump as having a historically low approval rating for a president-elect.

According to an ABC/Washington Post poll released earlier this week, 40 percent of Americans approved of Trump. Trump’s inauguration ceremony will begin this morning at 9:30 a.m. He will be introduced to the crowd in Washington, D.C., at around 11 a.m.

The Obamas will take their final trip on Air Force One to Palm Springs, Calif., right after inauguration ceremonies are finished.
