For those unfamiliar with Announcers in SC2 : The voice used to inform you that you're under attack, need more supply, etc. Each Announcers have a different personality and catchphrases.

I thought the announcer was race specific?

Adjutant for terrans, over mind for zergs and aldaris for op alien trash that always overwhelms my beloved siege tanks.

They are race specific. You can replace them, all of them or individual ones, with announcer packs. Packs have lines for all 3 races.

they do work in co op although not sure if it works in campaign though.

havent played in couple of weeks but i know for a fact announcers work for MP,co op mods and i think vs bots mode.

Ya, would really like it for campaign. I have yet to finish any of the 3 campaigns. I find multiplayer too stressful and no friends to play co-op with.

agreed, even the scripted segments for his squarespace ads on the cooptional podcast are clearly read and sound unnatural and come off a bit cringey, but who knows - perhaps someone will help improve him with the team they have around him.

If I recall correctly, he intentionally made it sound like that because when he did the first Squarespace promotion on the podcast he wanted it to be as clear as possible that it was a paid promotion. Being one who is really big on disclosing such things, plus he likes making a mockery of classic ads too.

I remember him being surprised people actually found it funny and liked it; so he just continued using that style for all the other ones too.

perhaps someone will help improve him with the team they have around him.

It should be noted that he mentioned on stream that this was his first time lending his voice in an actual studio environment. So previous times were likely from a less professional setting I assume. Which makes sense since many of the other games he did a voice for were indies.

The game was good. But the VO was pretty amateurish, which is understandable considering that it was from a time when TB wasn't even nearly as popular (and skilled) as he is now.

    It's bad.

    The cancer is in his blood so he's spending enormous amounts of money on medication but it will take him eventually, even if the tumors have been shrunk down considerably. People keep quoting him about old people getting it so the life expectancy is short but not for him, etc, but cancer+chemo fucks you up and humans die considerably quicker due to it, no doubt about it.

    I've waned on the guy (shaming and belittling his fans ain't cool and him giving too much credence to blatant trolls got annoying fast when he would inevitably lash out and have a social media meltdown), but I respect him for what he has done for the industry and how good his content is, so I'll miss him for sure when it's his time.

    Having lost close family members to cancer, I sort of stopped watching/following his stuff because of it. It may sound harsh, but I guess its some sort of defense mechanism, dont want to loose someone im "close" to, even if I've never met the guy.
